Actually, the saying "It takes 2 hands to clap" has never rung more true in the search for peace in the Middle East.Originally posted by the Bear:how more out of hand can it get?
i'll keep saying, as long as Arafat is there, there will be no peace...
Arafat is actually Egyptian and his own cronies have actually admitted that there never was such a thing as a country called Palestine...
the PLO is essentially a terrorist organisation which has never hid the fact that they want the total annihilation of Israel
Arafat has been syphoning off huge amounts of aid to "his people" to keep his bank account fat and his family in the French Riviera
the conflict must continue as Arafat has a sole monopoly of all trade in the occupied territories.. when peace occurs, he loses it... so "his people" must suffer to keep his pockets stuffed..
there is more.. and it's all about corruption and money for the elite few in the PLO...
with all that, you think there can be peace when it is in the vested interest of one of the sides to continue the mayhem?

The state of the Israel-Palestinian relations today has as much to do with Ariel Sharon's actions from the hands off approach he took in the Sabra-Shatila massacre to the outright provocation in visting the Temple Mount which sparked off the 2000 Intifada, he has cleverly and insidiously stoked the flames of Palestinian hatred of the Israelis and Israeli distrust of the Palestinians.
While Arafat is nowhere blameless for the current state of affairs, to blame him and him alone is wrong and grossly unfair.
Its Israel....Originally posted by dumbdumb!:sigh. doesn't matter. isreal will win
Actually, I was prepared to give Arafat the benefit of the doubt and believed he was sincere about finding a negotiated peace with Israel in the early 90s. The problem was he miscalculated on 2 countsOriginally posted by the Bear:it's true... but i would look more to Arafat as there were so many Israeli PMs before Sharon..
all have gone nowhere no matter how many concessions they gave to Arafat.. who, to me, has no right to anything at all..
Before the Camp david peace accord the PM of Israel was prepared to move back to pre war 1960's war borders on all front apart from jeurulsem(however u spell that city) But Arafat said no!!Originally posted by Viper52:Actually, the saying "It takes 2 hands to clap" has never rung more true in the search for peace in the Middle East.

Full scale war will surely break out, if Israel continue to make surprise air raids into Arab territories that is suspected to hold the terrorists training camps, just as they have done in the surprise air raids into Syria.Originally posted by duotiga83:will it verge into full scale war?![]()

an army that would not hesitate to attack both isrealis and palestinians should any of them become hostile.
In the "Military Nuts" section of this sgForums, it was reported that in a recent air combat exercise between the US Navy Air Group and the Israeli Air Force, the IAF was able to win several dog fights over the US Navy Pilots.Originally posted by nismoS132:would putting a neutral army in between the borders help matters?

Have you heard of Aircraft Carriers ?Originally posted by nismoS132:just wondering. why are pilots in the navy?
i had always thought that they were under the air force instead of navy.Originally posted by Atobe:Have you heard of Aircraft Carriers ?
Those kind of massive ships that have a large flat surface resembling a floating airport; and that carry all types of air planes - helicopters, fighter jets, fighter bombers, electronic warfare jets, airborne radar planes, airborne refueling planes ?
Those planes needs Pilots.
