Do you like NS after so much of harm it has caused?

Recently, there are serious death cases of NS men during their NS services. The news is so devastating and create worries.NS Doctors just ignore serious ill patients seeing them die instead of rescuing them. This is so unpleasant. The activities should not be so strenous and cold-hearted.

One of my NS theories while I was inside: They wouldn't do anything unless something big happens. -

That is assuming that they even know the patients are seriously ill. These doctors are probably too used to having people most of the time faking some illness to get a few days off.
I still look foward to going NS, i believe i can learn quite a lot from discipline there. I only wished it was shorter. -

The recent deaths of NSmen are quite scary but we shouldn't be afraid of going to National Service. I believe that SAF are doing all the necessary precautions to prevent this kind of accidents from happening again.
No matter what, all boys who reach the age of 18 must go for NS. -
the MOs in saf are all qualified doctors by the way, and if they mis-diagnose or make any mistakes in their work, they are liable to have their medical licenses revoked, meaning they won't be able to practice medicine after they leave the service. hence it does not mean that an MO automatically becomes bo chap and anyhow treat their patients. they face more constraints in their work and they have alot more different challenges than the doctors and GPs.

i tot the recent NSF death in the news is not related to any SAF MOs?
it about NUH now..in fact it was the NSF camp MOs that refer the NSF to the hospital.. -
Regardless of what has happened, regardless whether you like NS or not, NS is part of a guy's life in Singapore and will always be.
Instead of blaming on whose fault was it, we should be glad the sacrifice was for the nation when they were doing their duty to the country and to their family. They pave way to a better training regime that you should be glad about. And you are not doing so by complaining about NS because they have sacrificed. Training is never simple and easy, because if it is, everybody and me myself would have to worry for our safety if there is any sort of emergency.
Cuz nobody is well trained enough to protect the country. We are able to sleep peacefully at night because of our army. If there is no NS in Singapore where population is so thin, there would be no army, at that point, you would have to worry about sleeping at night.

in such a case its really up to the individual - he may curse and swear and make it an entirely bad experience, or he may take a more positive attitude towards it and try to learn from it and even eventually like it. i believe everything we do in life holds lessons for us to learn.

er no..... my friend is a heli medic who flies with the MO. I am happy to say that the MO tries his best, right down to the last desperate move, to save the patient. Its why they even get into situations where they are in life endangerment that irks me.
