One might be forgiven for suspecting that, given his activities, LKY might never have had time to take an IQ test.
Taking a stab at making an estimation, I worked upon the assumption that LKY was the intellectual equal of other world leaders in 1959. The leaders I took into consideration were:
Eisenhower - 69 years old
McMillan - 65 years old
Nehru - 70 years old
Ben Gurion - 73 years old
leading to a rounded average of 69 yeqars of age. I had considered adding Nasser top the list, but his presidency by coup d'etat made the addition spurious. Upon the assumption that all these leaders were of equal intellectual ability, we may assume that LKY had a mental age of 69 in 1959.
Given that the equation for IQ is (Mental age / Chronological age) X 100, LKY's IQ would have been 192.
Before we read too much into this, this figure is admittedly flawed:
1) we are assuming that LKY was equal to the other world leaders at this point - this is unlikely to be the case since there is no specific comparison to determine that equality
2) the political conditions in different countries tap into different aspects of their leaders' abilities, so the fact that these are leaders in itself is inadequate
3) the list of leaders is far from comprehensive
4) any IQ score of 155 or above is not a statistically reliable figure
Without better information to go on, however, this was the closest thing I could use for a calculation.
From my experience in abilities testing, and given that the ideas in LKY's autobiography are indeed his, I would expect that his IQ score would be in the range of 140 to 150. -

It is amazing that for someone with the intelligence of great men of the 1950's (re: Gendaken's post), our SM LKY can believe that 'Graduates marrying Graduates can produce Intelligent Children'.
Remarkably, his own humble background of non-Graduate parents, holding humble occupation when he was born, seems to contradict his own speculative beliefs.
At a Mental Institution, a Psychiatrist walked past a Mental Patient holding a thin stick with a thread dropped into a sink - as if he was fishing.

Nope - look at the equation. If the person's intellectual level is exactly as it should be, then mental age will be the same as chronological age, resulting in an IQ of 100. Having a fast processor does not mean that your had drive contains stuff of substance.
Anyway intelligence elitism is way overrated in singapore anyway, you get grads (more like people who have been optimised to be human processors for the country) who can't even figure themselves around in normal life.
As for the SIA fiascio, is it any surprise? What do you expect from a limpid worker's union and overbearing, sensless mangement desisions, sastified pilots who will take their lot and quietly contuine on their jobs while they are being fleeced, especially being fleeced to support the lifestyles of those jokers being paid many times more to make these very insane desisions, most of the times, for their own benefits? -
