Have you ever noticed that while the mouldy powers that be speak of ensuring that we fully utilise our human resources for the good of the country, it usually smacks of hypocrisy. These pilots are pilloried for speaking their fair opinions. Is it a crime to demand better standards of work, especially when they know that SIA is so tightly-governed that nothing gets through to them, for all they only care about is the bottom-line. MNCs are usually the bad guys here for not promoting the welfare of the individual and usually the government is the one who is helpless although they try to enshrine the right to proper choice and opinion in one's workplace scenery.
Here, we see the thuggish approach where management is backed up by the very people who are supposed to safeguard the people that make up the country in the first place. Why is this so?
Look here, society knows that this is not the 60s and 70s, lame and specious arguments like it's better to be feared than to be loved, have no place in this society of ours.Ironic right, to talk of progress on one hand and to divide -and -rule the population by browbeating us with propaganda that we live in dire straits. To safeguard their unique brand of control, the powers are willing to degrade themselves to talk of market thugs and alley fighters.Civilised people are knowledgable enough to exercise their own rights. To intervene in such a small matter is an insult to the professional qualifications of these people while debasing their status as humans, with free will and autonomy.Let's not even bring in the silly idea that we are different, we love to be placed in yokes and led by the nose-ring, for we "know not" and must be guided by the paternalistic forces around us.
It's good enough for an April Fool's joke, nothing more.
Be more clear and i may consider giving my insight.
