I forgot to mention about this. My school strongly encouraged me to take part in the Ecomomic Essay Competition orgainised by The Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Economic Society of Singapore. The title of the Essay is How can Singapore remain competitive in a globalising world economy?

The Government has shown their willingness to cut the wages and CPF of all working Singaporeans.
For Singapore to be competitive, we need also a less costly and top heavy Government, so that they need not have to tax the Citizens through a multitude of ways to obtain revenue to pay for the over bloated salaries of Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of State, Ministers-Without-Portfolios, Permanent Secretaries on Super-Scale Wages, and Civil Servants that believe in an iron rice bowl.
We need to ensure that no wastage of Singapore Funds is to be expended - such as the Million Dollar renovation works to the National Library building at Stamford Road that will see it being demolished within five years after the renovation.
We need more transparency and accountability from the Government in the way they manage the revenue collected from all the various tax and reserves. -
We need to revolutionanize our... errr i mean... your culture to be more open and expressive, especially to new Ideas. When I was 12, and i suggested the idea of having Singapore wheel of fortune, the director of TCS5 called me "SEOW!". When I suggested that we patent D&T ideas to earn patentship money for school, the teacher did not want to hear it because he figured I did not know what i was talking about, as a result, some other company got the patentship, leaving school to seek $ by having students wander around with cans and stickers.
