So the problem is, u don like the son taking over the father's position. Wat is there to conplain about if they are able to help provide us with the living we have now. Who cares if the prince is willing to be the PM, he have made to be a DPM for so many yr, he isn't shout of stepping down...Originally posted by the Bear:what is he there for now, except to ensure the continuation of the Lee Dynasty?
you think the Dragon Prince is there on his own merit?
i think one of the grouses here is tt yes, the government has chosen the successor, rather than the ppl. we din choose him to be the nex PM. someone else did.Originally posted by Hocklez:Anyway, his ability should be judge by the people not only by the people in government, people will be able to sense if they don think DPM Lee is to be of standard. We are not people who just suffer in quiet, we complain when we don feel happy about it, but now the majority still approve of it.
Even in the PAP, the Ordinary Members do not choose their own leaders.Originally posted by wuming78:i think one of the grouses here is tt yes, the government has chosen the successor, rather than the ppl. we din choose him to be the nex PM. someone else did.
o cos we can say tt he wil need to be returned to power thru voting.
butthen again, there never was much choice for us.

From the Ordinary Members, a few will be selected to be Cadre Members.
The Cadre Members will "vote" those who are selected to be in the Elite Group.
Members of the Elite Group are selected by the 'Untouchable Group' that previously had a Group of Founding Members of the Party - now there remains Only One.
Who will enter into the realm of this Untouchable Group ?
So who are in the untouchable Group? The Lee's?
anyway since we are talking about it now. i kind of missed out on the selection process of DPM. all i remember is suddenly he's assumed that position. when and how exactly did it happen. it slipped my memory.Originally posted by wuming78:i think one of the grouses here is tt yes, the government has chosen the successor, rather than the ppl. we din choose him to be the nex PM. someone else did.

the leader of the party wich is returned the power is the PM. he chooses the rest of the cabinet ministers. tt incl the DPM as well.Originally posted by boy in blues:anyway since we are talking about it now. i kind of missed out on the selection process of DPM. all i remember is suddenly he's assumed that position. when and how exactly did it happen. it slipped my memory.
The personalities to fill the shoes of the PM and his cabinet is decided by the 'Untouchable Group' - that is said to be Secretary-General and Chairman of the PAP, but more likely to be the Father, the Son and the Holy Gohst for the time being.Originally posted by wuming78:the leader of the party wich is returned the power is the PM. he chooses the rest of the cabinet ministers. tt incl the DPM as well.
