Full outside, empty inside (and I mean more then just the head).Originally posted by AzRaeL:I just bought a new Kick Ass notebook computer, i have a nice kitchen with equipment even a professional Chef would be proud to own.
My closets (notice plural) are bursting with last seasons' and the one before's designer wear.
Yes, I am Single. I have my own apartment.
Would I be able to have all these if I had kids?
I don't Think So.
Azrael.. a bit off topic.. are you selling these?? Any Fendi Baguettes? Or are you a guy?Originally posted by AzRaeL:I just bought a new Kick Ass notebook computer, i have a nice kitchen with equipment even a professional Chef would be proud to own.

SgTy, but he had other mental issues isn't it? And he didn't die lonely either, he had all these friends and a boyfriend.Originally posted by SingaporeTyrannosaur:Full outside, empty inside (and I mean more then just the head).
Apparently even celebrities who have it much more then you decide to end it all by taking a plunge off a hotel on April Fool's day, maybe they chanced upon something you hope never to find about the true depravity of your ways, in which case it's everybody's hope you learn about it soon instead of taking a flight later down the road.
does that mean we need to allow gay marriages?Originally posted by Lingos:Will we one day be the same as Western countries in terms of our divorce rates? Are you afraid that it will come to such a stage?
Are Singaporeans not aware of the commitment and hard work in making a marriage work these days?
Or are we losing out "traditional values"?
I hope one day the government will allow any individual to purchase their own home. At least we will not hear this used as a proposal for marriage any longer, "Eh do you want to buy a flat with me in Bishan/Telok Blangah/ Redhill/ Sengkang/ Ponggol ah???"
OMG that is like a romance killer!
Oh crap.. look at my bad english, it should be increases number of divorce cases in Singapore.
Prehaps it's fortunate such people have no legacy to leave behind?Originally posted by Lingos:SgTy, but he had other mental issues isn't it? And he didn't die lonely either, he had all these friends and a boyfriend.
I agree that it is a shell, but can you live like the homeless guy at Queen Victoria market... he's always wondering up and down the street, he digs around in the bins for something to eat. And he has nothing to wear during winter.
Does this have anything to do with having kids? Some people never have a biological clock ticking in their lifetime. It's their choice isn't it?
I'm talking about the number of divorce cases in Singapore. This has no relation to the number of marriages.Originally posted by Ah Ma:WHO ask u all so many people marrying.?

There has always been people getting married, but in recent years, we have seen an increase in divorces. Are these divorce cases attributed to social or economic factors?
u will be asking for trouble if u really ask...Originally posted by laurence82:Last time thought wedding is such a great thing.
Nowadays, relationships break up so fast, at weddings I have the itch to ask "When the divorce?"

S*it i was hoping i could say the same thing to my close relative. She is a princess and needs to be on her own for like 2 years to grow up and deal with her issues. She also needs to know that she can't have everything her way and to live and let live. Her tantrums is causing too much disruption to their relatives including me.Originally posted by laurence82:Last time thought wedding is such a great thing.

HAHAHAHHAHA... He is condoning polyamory? I find this quite hard to believe. I mean, is he saying that it's alright and he should have allowed men to marry more than one wife? HUH? Are we like in some sort of tribal community or swingers' nation?Originally posted by Atobe:LKY felt that the Women's Charter may have worsened the situation of the already worsening large numbers of Highly Educated and SINGLE Women.
He, quite seriously, said that PERHAPS without the Women's Charter, then Singapore Men may have been able to LEGALLY 'adopt' a few more women to be their spouses, as had been a practise amongst the older generation of capable and venerable men.
If this process was available, this will result in Highly Educated Women being married to Highly Capable Men, and perhaps more Children with high potential can be pro-created.
There will be LESS number of Highly Educated Women who need to remain Single.
With one push of the pen, the Women's Charter was legislated that eventually caused all the hardship for Singapore Men - having to conduct their love affairs in an illicit manner, with illicit by-products, and causing all the miseries to established marriages, and the final result of heart wrenching divorces.
I really don't think we have the right to comment on who should and who shouldn't be having children. The reality is there are plenty of people on this earth who shouldn't have kids.Originally posted by SingaporeTyrannosaur:Prehaps it's fortunate such people have no legacy to leave behind?
With regard to your first paragraph in indigo color, is well-substantiated.Originally posted by Lingos:I really don't think we have the right to comment on who should and who shouldn't be having children. The reality is there are plenty of people on this earth who shouldn't have kids.
Where I work on weekends, single mothers with SSP-> single supporting parent pension cards come in all the time. On their card is 5 different children's name as their dependent. These people make a living out of breeding like bunnies. It makes me sicker that more than 30% of my income goes to these trailer trash who procreate for a living.
So people who don't want kids because they acknowledge that they do not have the patience or time to educate their children is criticised by you? Whereas those who do it without thought on their situation is condoned by you?
Sk if you had met these people and recognise how they behave. You would know they are trailer trash. I'm not refering to one person. There is a group of people who live on Pension Cards which my $800/mth tax deductions pays for. They do not want to get proper jobs. Procreating is how they earn my tax money from the government. I'm not disputing about how much they love their kids. I'm talking about dole bludgers.Originally posted by :With regard to your first paragraph in indigo color, is well-substantiated.
As to your second paragraph in red color, I think its a bit crude of you to call the mother of 5 a trailer trash. You never knew her story of how she managed to borne 5 children. Could it be for religious needs? Or for personal reasons such as the love of children?
Your final paragraph in blue color, is well-substantiated.
But, you only see them coming in and asking for pension cards. Some of these people earn unrealistically low wages. Sometimes, you should wander what type of home they live in and their living conditions, do you think they want to stay in poor conditions? Is it by choice?Originally posted by Lingos:Sk if you had met these people and recognise how they behave. You would know they are trailer trash. I'm not refering to one person.
