i think its a big wayang lah... it tries to be a physical manifestation of a national identity, but it just ends up as a bad mix of propaganda and self-serving rhetoric...
singaporeans just prefer to keep their feelings to themselves. i personally don't see a piece of cloth as representing my patriotism and my indomitable singaporean spirit... i think me working hard for my future here is a better representation of that...
if i'm so free to send in a hundred pieces of handmade cross-stitch, then i no need to work ah?
