The number of PRCs in Singapore

  I am starting to realize that the number of PRCs in Singapore is growing astronomically. I am elated to see that our population is growing in size with the number of PRCs coming to Singapore to work, study or start a family in Singapore.

  what to do since we do not produce enough babies, so might as well get others who have the ability to produce to become PR and hope that they will convert to singaporeans.

  I believe its more than just 40k.
  Thing about:
  -how many foreign PRC workers there are?
  -how many PRC students?
  -how many PRC families?

  I don't know about the number in the general population, but one thing is sure, the universities are sure flooded with them.

  I do not at all agree that any influx of PRC citizens here would do much good to our country. I respect and at least would like to maintain the sovereignity of our country rather than have it be flooded with them. They should stick with their one-child policy and control their own population.

  so that the young can be tax to support the old, and you'll have enough people to mantain a growing economy, but for singapore, we have too little land so its going to suck when our population grows

  have a neighbour couple(husband & wife) who came from prc & they have 3 kids here!
  & the eldest kid is a *&^%#$* , always walk arrogantly. not even bothered to reply when i smiled/said 'hi'.

  everywhere in singapore are PRC.
  i bet there are over 100k in singapore.
  for whatever reasons.
  you can find them in MRT, coffeeshop, company, shopping center. they are everywhere!!!

  hey! u noe our very own sg'reans can make em read our transcripts n sweat? sad to say there arent many. not bcoz we dun have the ability but we lack the desire. they have e desire to be the best and they stuck by it. y singaporeans cant? frm my own pt of view.. we're too well taken care of. im not shy to admit im one of those well fed peepz but i find e motivation to equal them or even surpass em. that's what singaporeans are truly like and for now..should be lik..
