The fact that we need a speaker's corner is fact enough something is amiss.

This state of affairs is unhealthy.
The least to do is sometimes to be natural and see what happen.
Image all these problems, there will be only more problems.
I believe we need more liberalization and openness.

Maybe FI can be include as a mod in speakers corner. Some of the posts here are really malicious and shd be stopped immediately. She's online most of the time, will be able to stop them immediately.

But even if we do and she gets tied up with moderating more than one forum, i think that possibility will be gone.
Alternatively, she may be so overworked that you will see an ah Ma pic instead of a Chiobu one next time she comes on.

If any of us does not agree with what others say, does not mean that we have to argue and rebut though that is welcomed in the very nature of a forum. Singaporeans must learn to be tolerant of opposing views. Do we always have to win an argument?
To have to police what people say in a forum is really going against the spirit of free speech. Surely this forum won't have to end up like the farce they created at Hong Lim Park right?
Besides freedom of speech is enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore.
To let a child grow, cut loose the apron strings. Stop mothering. -
All I can say is that moderators have to be more matured.

No Speaker's Corner, people complain about lack of free expression.
Got Speaker's Corner, no one wants to speak or even visit occasionally for a listen-in.
Either way, people will find a reason to whine and complain. Hard to please! (hehe!)
