When ladies married men, there's always two roads for them to choose. To continue working or to stay at home and be a housewife. Shall I say that, whilst men provides us with free staying etc, we provide free cleaning, free cooking, free here and free there? No. You marry because of love and you shouldn't be calculative about such things. It's a give-and-take relationship. Wives who continued to work ---- shall I say more? They contribute to the family too. Men do not pay for everything now you know? Not all women insists on men paying for everything now too.

Talk about paying for the apartment. Do you know my mother forked out more money than my father for the house we are living in and for the renovations?

For the divorce, I don't think women would be able to take away the house 100%. Even if that's happened before, stop talking as if ALL women does that.

Why don't you try to understand women too? You are only thinking in men's terms. Not just men's terms excuse me, but in very MCP and sexist terms.

Can't take the truth? I am behaving myself, unfortunately. You are saying that because you are a MCP, and being a MCP, you can't accept a woman speaking against your views.

It's all about free speech unfortunately.

Some women have good heart but how to prove it ? If we cannot prove it then we have to take precaution to ALL the women. It is nature.

Any men may unluckily marriage to a bad woman and make use of Women Charter. She do not pay a single cent possible take away the house. No matter how many percent also double pain (loss wife and assest) for the men.

If the food is pay by men then it is free. However we will not treat it as "Free" if both party have already agree and assign their duty (eg men go out to work and wife take care the house).

My main objective is to create the Marriage Agreement. The marriage couple will discuss, assign their duty and state their share for the assests.

But it will be the long way because of PAP

Before the Marriage Agreement openly used, I would like all the men the exchage knowledge to pretect their assests properly

Yes, you can't tell if a woman you've met is good or bad but it doesn't mean that taking precaution against all of them is a good idea.

Nobody can prove it but sometimes you might be able to sense it. Men needs to be able to tell if the woman they are going out with is good or bad. It's no use taking precautions against all women you know. It's just going to turn us off.

So what about that? We work and contribute to the family too. Women are no longer vases at home.

Taking care of babies? It's not that great. It's part of a father's job to do so. Besides, all the more you men should help in taking care of your own babies because we women have already settled the nasty business of giving birth.

So precaution is a good solution. In Chinese we say "Harmful heart should not have, Prevention heart should have"

I hope that PAP stop distrub the Family Affair and let the couple decide the living patern they wish by using Marriage Agreement.

Hmm but by social rights, it's probably not really appropriate for a man to take alimony from his wife. @___@

But I'd agree with you on that point in a way. Women who could afford to support themselves well enough should not insist on taking alimony.

Women should not think they can keep the right forever.
The right is appropriate for "last batch" of women only and not approriate for new generation women.

Instead of waiting for these "last batch" women. We should use Marriage Agreement for newly marriage couple.

I hope women be updated and realistics to discuss the living patern with partner by using Marriage Agreement.

I believe men willing to contribute more.

There are Man's Right in other country as to Woman's Right.

But cver here, if you seperate/divorce your wife, she can seek monthly maintenance order at family court, even if she has more income than you and both of you do not have a child.

I've seen too much uncareful guys being petition by their disgruntled wife for maintenance and easily agrees to the amount being asked for. Wife maintenance is long term unless she dies or marries someone else who can take care of her financially.

Draft an agreement before you enter a marriage and had it notary public before you guys happily say yes in ROM. No one can predict you'll and your wife will live happily ever after nowadays.

I have read the Women Charter, and it did says that the

1. properties such as homes,
2. if bought by the men income,
3. will be shared equally between the men and women.

If you ask me, I believe strongly that some amendments have to be made.

Properties such as homes and land, if bought by the WOMEN income, should also be shared equally between the men and women.

In this age and time, it is hardly surprising for women to take home more dough and manage to buy in properties. It is an equal society now. In such a case, amendments have to be made to be fair to both sexes. I do not see the logic of the wife having more money, more properties should have possession of 1/2 of husband's property which is only a house.

Same reason as why men should share their properties when they are seperated, women should share their properties too.

I believe again this law has becomes obsolete. There is a high chance that some women will abuse this law to swallow up men possession and property. Times have changed where the women are longer weak and fiancially dependent. From what I see, men seems to be the victim upon divorce. Men have to give up their property, have disadvantages to their rights in children and have to provide alimony to the wife even if the cause of divorce is due to the women, even if the wife earns much more than the husband. Why ? I ask again, is it a sin to be borned as a man ? Why do we face this unequal treatment.

And don't talk about being "gentlemen" to me. If being a "gentlemen" means one has to behave like an idiot and being taken advantages of, then I rather people called me rascal or a miser or anything they desire.
