Singapore condemns targeted killings of Hamas leaders, suicide bombings By Dominique Loh, Channel NewsAsia
SINGAPORE : Singapore has condemned the targeted killings of Hamas leaders Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and Dr Abdel Aziz Rantissi by Israel.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said Singapore also condemned all suicide bombings targeted at civilians because such killings are contrary to the peace process.
It said such acts perpetuate the cycle of violence and does not serve the interest of Israel, the Palestinians and the rest of the world.
Sheikh Ahmed was killed last month, while his successor, Dr Abdel Aziz Rantissi, was killed in a missile attack in his car on Saturday.
Hamas has vowed revenge for both leaders, prompting fears of more deadly retaliation.
Israel has said it reserves the right to target militants and suicide bombers whom they consider are threats to Israel's security. - CNA

Comments: I'm surprised to learn that Singapore condemned the assassinations. Anyone else shared the same sentiment?
Cheers and warm regards
