Which one comes first?

Though i dread the edu and employment system here.
But i got to face the reality, get the 'air ticket' to worklife.
Now with the open entry to Local Universities. I'm giving myself a year to sort things out and decide my options.
I'm considering:
1) I should enter Full Time Local Varsity for three/four years. Get a decent Honours degree and start from there as lowly paid.
2) I should work full time and study Part Time (Hons) program.
While working to get job experience, i can also pursue my Hons cert.
3) My Bro in Law encouraged me to start off working in areas which i'm interested first. Give myself two-three years to really work out what i want. At the same time, get work experience and networks. Enter into Full Time or Part Time degree(Hons) Program.
4) Last resort, save up and go for overseas program. Roughly take three to four years to have adequate savings.

Which of the options will be most practicle for present-near future employment trends. -
If u can make it to local U, then do it since it is cheaper. Can also work & study part-time but need a lot of determination cos after long working day very hard to rush to study. Need to have understanding boss & regular working hours. If u want to work first & save up later, might take a long time if u don't have qualifications, end up with low paying job.

if i have enuf money, i would do 3)
or when i get married liao and be shao nai nai, i have the time for 3)
get an M.A/M.Sc to bai sui oso good......
i would think it's better to have work experience when u pursue higher education and specialisations...
it's a headstart and u will see things from a broader perspective... -

and M.A doesn't really add value to you one... makes more sense to skip M.A and just go for a 6 yr Ph.D program. -

Thinking if I went to do my PHD, I would take the easy path and be a professor at NUS(good pension and relax working hours) and a part time consultant for MNCs(thats where the big bucks is)!

they're all now on 3 yr contracts... and they can STILL be served 3 months notice at any time.
consultants? that was a myth in the first place... the market here was never big to accommodate BOTH private sector AND these profs looking for lobang. the relatively few who made it are the exception rather than the norm... -
