I don't get it, why must our broadcaster be copycats of TV shows abroad? When reality TV shows became popular in USA, when Survivors and all the other reality TV shows came up, our channels seem to start copying them. The quality turns out to be a notch lower than USA ones, and I feel quite embarrased to watch them. When must we also copy Tawainese entertainemtn shows? Can't the TV stations here have more creativity and originality?
And now we're going to have 'Singapore Idol'.... -

It's called conformity mah. Follow what the big boss says or you don't get big fat bonus and promotions.
Our medias, be it newspapers or TV, are being closely watched. Most directors in medias are government people. So you see, there is NO TRUE FREEDOM OF THE PRESS OR MEDIAS IN SINGAPORE -just cleverly crafted cosmetic democracy.

This kind of propaganda show to encourage Singaporeans to born more baby also no use,becoz everything is so expensive here.Even water n electricity if u use more will get fined,u see,more baby means more family members in future n hence,more usage of water n electricity.Then if use more get fined,then who dare to born more baby?Then education fees leh,born out no need to educate them ah,but the fees keep rising like hell.Tranportation fees leh,medical fees leh,government everything talk about money,who dare to born more baby?
