Everyone seems to think that democracy comes and stay just with the snap of a finger.
Nepotism and cronyism are present in all human. Even in the great democratic nation of the United States of America, the scions of the rich blue family, will remain the high echelons of Government. So maybe we can say that Bill Clinton was a la PM Goh. But no one says that, why? 'Caus we all know that the US of A is a great defender of democracy. Rubbish.
Look around us, almost everyone in the upper Government are related to an ex- big shot, or have a awe-inspiring surname. Try Bush, Suharto, Sukarno, Lee, Mahathir, Roosevelt, Deng, Jiang, Chiang. The list goes on forever.
So for those short sighted people yearning aching for democracy. We'll have democracy, but the end result will still be the same.
Just remember that the greatest Democracy act of the 20th century, the Indian Election, was won by a Gandhi. -

But honestly speaking,i still dont like Mr Goh.I think opposition ppl like Chiam Chee Tong n Lui Cheng Qiang is more suitable to be a PM,they are more practical than Mr Goh who only knows how to build beautiful buildings for Ang Moh to see n create fake democracy for them to believe in.But then again,we Singaporeans dont have much choices.
