  If I remember correctly, he was once a fellow student with the Senior Minister in university.
  
  The Chief Justice once served in the Malaysia legal system before coming over to render his service in Singapore shortly after Independence.
  
  His dedication and loyalty for this country is as what we can see today - as steady and unwavering as a steel pillar.
