i recommend people read Edward hernan and Noam Chomsky's Propaganda and the Public Mind.
1. Is the campaign a public feedback forum or a political discussion session? How effective is it? How effective would it be? Even the future Pm believes that once the economy is better, all this "noise" will be gone (ST2003 Cat Lim's gazing into the crystal ball)
2. i agree that there is a need for people to know the country's history. But is it needed on a national scale? or is it the failure of the Education ministry to cover the minimum in the social studies cirricula in primary and secondary school? History is always on the side of the victor, but how many of our textbooks mention then PM Lee's manoeuvre that led to the defeat of The Plen?
3. If there should be National Education and greater awareness, i would rather Us be aware of our constitutional rights which are severely restraint by our laws. IF everyone knows their rights, we know what we can and cannot do, rather than have some murky OB markers. But i always believe that the more people do not know, the easier they are to control.

as far as i'm concerned, i would rather support a private initiative and post HERE than kiss up to your dodgy SDC operation. -
i agree. basically this little george has side steps all the more important questions pose. Whenever a questioned is posed, he redirects us to the webby of his. However the choic is still up to the rest of us.
Next, i read some of the posts there. Maybe its due to the small base, most of the views are rather pro-govt and anti-singaporean
Finally, i think Sgforums is the best, because its sister site is Sggirls
