Why So Many Sick-Minded Singaporeans in HDB Heartland?

Lately there were many new cars added on to our HDB carparks due to new models and cheaper COEs, and improving economic outlook. I too bought one but to my disappointment my new car of less than two months old was scratched! After conducting a survey in my carpark, to my horror I discovered that it was a common sight for most new cars! As it is not the first time I own a new car, so I take it lightly as even my present old car was not spared after I washed it sparkling clean some months back! Some got it worst and why such anti social behaviours were so prevalent in the HDB heartland?
Could it be the work of a small group of sick minded culprits or could it be due to the widening gap of the haves and have-not in the HDB heartland...............? Why must they vent their angers on the new cars and not finding a way out of their rut? -

When u live in condo or own a bungalow then buy a car la! Yr car comfirm won't vandalise.Even still happens can catch the vandaliser easily!

research from scientist have shown that people who scratch cars often get cancer and die within 5 years of commiting that deed. normally they will suffer for months before subcuming to their illness.
i know of a neighbour who scratch my car when i first bought it. well it was 2 years ago. today he has died. cancer took his pancres. after he died...i went to his grave and peed on his tomb stone. i

Mr Heartlander-"son" you had better think about who you have offended in the past. Because if u offended me so much so that i remembered it when i was powerful/rich (like some teacher did) i would conveniently scratch your car, or take your life. Perhaps you pissed someone off and they want to teach U a lesson. Hmmm... you sound very bitter and cowardly to scratch someone's car when they aren't there. If you have a problem with someone why not talk it out face to face instead of hiding behind petty vandalism? Maybe this is why people don't like you and you keep getting beaten up (or so you claim)... Personally, I think owning a car in Singapore, is not a cheap and easy thing to do. Firstly, one needs to ensure one can support a car. Once financial ability is confirmed, and the car is bought, one needs to take every effort to prevent / avoid having one's car scratched.
The popular thinking and opinion that owning a car is covenient, is a misconception. Because with it, comes parking space hassles, parking coupon time running out when visiting clients or friends, and then there's the current issue of having it scratched by some schizo maniac.
Several years ago, my car got scratched, and the culprit though reported to the Police, nothing was done about it. Until recently last year, the culprit who scratched my car cut the throat of an NUS proffessor and was diagnosed to be suffering from severe schizophrenia. This is my real experience with car-scratching individuals. They're mostly mad people.
Next, my solution is to park in well lit and exposed lots, where general public can see my car, and in corner lots . In covered multi-story carparks, I park near adjacent flats where residence can see the carpark and is bright - as well as in corner lots.
I believe if you park carelessly, such as near pick up trucks, vans and lorries, these illiterate drivers will fling their door open so hard and wide, it bang against the side of your car, causing an ugly dimple to form. Or if you park so close to the neighboring vehicle that the driver of the other parked car find hard to enter his vehicle, he may scratch your car in frustration and out of revenge. REMEMBER, people ( or motorists ) in Singapore are VERY vengeful. Generally, with the costs of living and owning a car in Singapore so high, these sort of behaviour is inevtiable. So to live with it, we all need to adopt certain extreme measures to avoid these sort of disappointments, and heartaches.
I always take my time when looking for a "safe" parking lot. I park far away from where I am going to if I have to, just so that my car can be safe from sick people, in heartlands.
In this regard, forget convenience of owning a car. Because when you park conveniently, and without consideration of such probabilities, chances are, one day your car WILL be scratched.
Believe me, I've been driving for more than 20 years, and even when you are careful as a motorist, you cannot be sure to stay out of accidents - just because others are wreckless on the road.
So owning a car in Singapore, and driving it is stressful. Not convenient. Why do I own a car than?? Because I don't wanna be amongst those buried underground should some maniac manages to sneak a bomb into an MRT train some day. -
It is petty to worry and complain about one's car being scratched. What's more, it minimizes your chances of enjoying your car.
Worry less about your car's outer appearance. Be a little more concerned about taking care of your car's engine performance through regular servicing.
A car is merely a hunk of metal that transports one from point A to point B. A less detached attitude towards one's material possessions increases one's chances of happiness. -
i've got friends who collect jaguar trophies. u know that headpiece in front of the car? the jaguar logo? my friend plucked it off as a trophy. haha.

Collectors of branded car logos and hood ornamental pieces, will surely some day be unwilling collectors of cane marks across their a-s-s-e-s, after being charged for vandalism. -

Now i am a lil uptight, who are you to say why i have been assaulted before? I can tell u a sad story about it if you like. Talking face to face and all that nice stuff is good, but sometimes it does not work. And sometimes it is far more satisfying to see your enemies suffer because they have vexed u in the past.
All i am doing is stating something obvious, with a touch of buddhist causality, if you suffer now or if someone has done something bad to you. Think about what it is you've done to people first to warrant such treatment. And in the event of people saying "oh come on lets talk things out blah blah blah" as if everyone is like that, i give an example of how i feel sometimes and what i would do.

But now that you all mention it. I actually would like to scratch someone's car. He was my old math teacher who gave me a hard time over some scribbles on my test paper. When i couldn't do a question because it was a much higher level qn, not even supposed to be included in a test at our level, i was like "wtf". Although i only wrote an abbreviation in small letters out of momentary surprise, time was up at that moment, and he was yelling for me to give him the script, before i could even erase it, since intuition told me people here like to jump at anything, especially authoritatrian teachers.
Well he gave back the script a while later all marked. And he started scolding me and yelling, accusing me of being "vulgar" towards him. Before i could even explain, he kept shutting me up. I really hated that situation, it fills me with anger thinking about it now. So by the time i am powerful to make him suffer in a dungeon, i think i would have forgotten him. SO i suppose by the time i am "semi"-powerful as in wealthy, i could hire some riff raff to scratch "WTF" on his car, it would be satisfying to have him remember me
Anywayz, so am i mad in that sense? Probably. But i am also capable of being GOOD and LIGHT-SIDISH. -

A lot of people I know who had their cars scratched did not do anything more than buying a new car. That's all it took for small minded, jealous people to scratch them (and by them, I mean the cars... not the owners

What sort of mentality is that? So it's ok for people to burn your flat down too? Don't like it, go buy a multi-million dollar property and protect it with an electric fence and hire security to patrol? -

Some of them find trouble for themselve. Living in HDB flat also buy branded n expensive cars, surely increase the probability of kena vandalise by red eye ppl.

honestly i scratch many cars myself. but i only target cars on friday when they park illegally outside mosque. very irritating. i cannot tahan cause park illegally cause inconvinience to others. so i take my bunch of keys and start working on their paintworks.
i advise all singaporeans who feel pissed with those basstards who park illegally on the roadside to use keys and scratch. if u ride motorbike..use your handlebars or tyre to bang their sides...anyway they are in the wrong cause they park illegally. u can even make em barbies pay for your damage. -
