Smoking...Drinking....and Prostitution...???

Have you ever thought why is it in Singapore prostitution is LEGAL where else if you are being cought bringing in cigarattes and bottles of "drinks" into Singapore it's ILLEGAL!
Is smoking and drinking that BAD compare to prostitution?? As most singaporeans smokes and drinks i feel that buying cigarattes and drinks from other countries is not wrong. so why does singapore forbiddes this? -

Smoking = innocent passive smokers [e.g. juz look at all the parent who smoke in front of their children! Crime, a crime, i say]
Alcohol = over consumption depends on individual limits [heard of drink-driving, family abuse?]
Prostitution in singapore legal?, no lah i believe 'they' all juz keeping 'mum' abt it 
*juz a thought* no sexual favors = higher rape/molest cases did i juz typed that 
with all the porn filtering around on the net, alas, is still nt enough for certain males residing in this country

But postitution is legal because only then can prostitutes be protected. Prostitution will always be in a country... even in Iraq there r prostitutes. If we make it illegalise, u just make their lives harder and they get more abuse by pimps and customers more... -
Tok abt prostitutes what you ppl think abt the recent news abt china luohan meimei coming to the heartland?
I have a theory, previously they used to hangout at geylang doing their business lor.
Then apparently the licensed "chicken shops" there started complaining to police that these unlicensed meimei stealing their business illegally.
Also the media spotlight turned to focus on geylang like that stupid Diana Ser "get real" series. If you notice in singapore if unwanted attention or bad publicity ever reaches the media, the government will immediately lock down.
So the AV started raiding the streets of geylang with a vengence, after that everytime a meimei tries to solicit a customer on the street, in she goes to the chicken cage. It was observed that it came to a point whereby geylang was "spotlessly clean" of Meimei.
As a result meimei became afraid to do business in geylang but they evolved and started migrating en-mass to the heartland neighbourhoods. These days they are become more mobile, started doing home "massage" services on call basis. Harassing after old men at Toa Payoh bus interchange.
In other words the AV outdone themselves and unknowingly pushed china chicken into the heartlands. -

a drive thru geylang will not show u everything .. there are pple of other than those u described goin there juz for the thrill & itch of it ... haf frenz who r married and still they go there for some naughty fun ...
