, that famous guy? Adam Trask is a character from John Steinbeck's East of Eden lah. It's like saying, the rich is never wrong. Even if they are damn bloody stoopid, as long as they got money, they would be deemed wise, even Tevye sing about it in 'Fiddler's On the Roof'. If you need to criticise, do it wisely, not blindly. -

i am not saying we dont pay tax. but rather should we make the rich pay more tax. i am also not saying those poor shouldnt pay tax.
yes we need arm forces, police,and civil defence but we are paying right salary for them. do anyone know how much an average scholar are being paid? do we need so much scholar. do we need to pay high salary to improve our already good system or there to make it better?
like someone mention why are our road keep digging non stop?
do we really think the less fortunate are really being taken care of??
frankly speaking, we can do better. of couse no country can have begger free, poor ppl. but with our govt riches, we can do better to help them.
maybe i wrong, but that my small opinion.
no pinpointing to particular party but just whoever party in power. -

If you tekan the rich and all of them move elsewhere to do business like china how? moving business means you lose yur job and they hire chinaman. losing yur job means no $$ for us to pay living expenses if you even know what that means.
if singapore has vast natural resources like rubber/coal/oil or technology to export or the day singapore makes it's own unique brand of nike shoes, coca cola or things that influence the rest of the world at large on day to day basis then by all means talk big like the americans & tax the rich otherwise we still depend on them and you guys are still dreaming.
Want to blame anybody, blame yurselves for being poor.
