are they really making a big fuss over nothing?
is taiwan a rogue state? is it part of PRC or is it an independent state?
taiwan keeps saying it's "not going independent" (although there are some flip-flops by a few fellas)
PRC says taiwan is part of china...
any country's leader going to taiwan in any capacity and meeting their bigwigs is giving legitimacy that taiwan is either "an independent state" or their leaders are "the legitimate leaders of all china"...
what would PRC do then? -

I think It is all about 'face'. Even big countries like US won't go Taiwan & upset China & we are only a small red dot went & did that. I think if any of our jr ministers not so bad but LSL is the next pm.
China already said it doesn't need anyone to mediate so why be a 'kaypoh'. They are willing to go to war to get back Taiwan.
LKY already said we cannot ignore China, their market is huge & economy is booming. Do u know how many people are doing business there? Everyone wants a piece of the action. U must go & visit places like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangchou, Hangchou etc & see for yourself. -

If an conflict is foresseable in the Straits, he needs to pull our troops back. I think he had to go and get a feel of Ah Bian and plan for the eventuality.

China is wrong about forcing other people not to go to taiwan. It is their freedom right ? LHL want to go there and taiwan want to receive them, why does it have to concern about china ? LHL also says they still support the one china policy isn't it ?

Well, that's just my humble opinion.You know, if all of us read up more on the world around us, not just on the "official" sources, we would realise that there is much more that goes on beneath the facade.No doubt, there are many who are migrating over because of economic and monetary opportunities, but is China the end-all and be-all.What irks me the most is that everyone sees China as the only place in the world that one can do business in.A huge population of 1 billion people is different from a consumer base of that amount.Look at China with an opportunistic eye, but do not see it as being the 8th winder of the world.Btw, why should I hate the US to the core if I hate China?It doesn't make sense at all.
