S&C Charges going up after announcement of better growth

S&C charges going up following the announcement of strong growth ahead.....*sigh*
i just got $10 increment in july and now they are taking it back to offset the S&C charges.........ranging from $1.50-$6.00.........
income (status-quo-all-these-years) + increment - S&C charges - others = income (status-quo-all-these-years) -
some other are oso going up leh, like my kids school fees.

i also kena increase. what to do? all indian and blangla cleaning our area and cleaning the rubbish still say cost is high? i think the cost is due to town council employing too many ppl siting in the office doing little job, in other words, low productivity. how i know? because everytime i do town council to buy parking coupon i see lotsa ppl sitting ard, and chit chatting.

How come Potong Pasir Town Council is able to maintain its charges while the PAP town councils are unable to? PAP town councils are either bad in account management or simply greedy. Forever not enough!

Isn't government fee/charge computed from:
CHARGE/FEE: Recurrent (Consumption) + others
Is this still the basis of government fees/charges? Were government's lands originally financed by taxes and past surpluses or acquired?
If my memory is still right, government services are financed out of tax collection - policing, education, hospital etc.
So, is there a legal basis for charging for rental/land? Any access to land acquisition records or alternatively reverse charges where lands were originally acquired.
Traditional government services - hospitals, schools and policing - lands should have been paid for under taxations. It is only logical that government should charge for consumptions - medicines and disposables for hospitals, oil for utilities, books for educational establishments etc. There seems to be a double counting in land/rental charge as govenment was not asked to renew land lease like in the case of Singapore Island Country Club. -
Guess due to upgrading- too much fancy stuff so must spend more money to maintain

I read in the news today that the light bulbs in new flats in Pasir Ris cost $12 compared to old one costing $1- this is one of the reason why excessive spending on unecessary things cost price to go up

I would say some of the garment agencies are unproductive....sumtime they dun really plan well for the ppl.'s welfare remember the window incident?
Juz saw sum news regarding sengkang neighbourhood. Town council ppl not doing their job well which result in mosquitoe breeding?? (pls add in more info..) reason given is tat they need at least 2 more month for the new neighbourhood to settle down b4 they can do anydin...put it in another way....the resident there re paying first 2 month of maintenances fee for nothing....
Most ppls who work for gov agencies tend to be more slack than those in private sector due to the guaranted iron bowl. Juz recount yr exp....I do know that there is alot of slack ppls hiding under the umbrella of SAF waitng to get their pension & pushing all the work to young NSF...
Correct me if I'm wrong, for info when war break out, NSmen re the one in the front line not those regulars...... -

The tiles at my lift lobby were hack up and retiled although the old ones are still in good condition. The hacking works created a lot of noise and dust. The best part is, due to shoddy worksmanship new tiles come off a few days after works were completed.
Just compare the new HDB headquarters to the old one at Bukit Merah. And not forgetting, those plasma TVs....
