LHL coming to power already, they basically want to test water to see what sort of leader he is and if he is someone who will wilt under preassure. They did it a few years ago to Koizumi on the diaoyutai islands too.
We are so friendly with them, we were the first to invest in china. A catalyst for others to have confidence investing there, but the way I see it, we're too pro-west for too long leow. If we toe the line other countries might follow that's why they want to tekan us jialat jialat.
Also Chinese Ambassador says : Singapore should show concrete steps means what? Break off relations with Taiwan?

no way we will break off relation with taiwan,they help us alot in our independent and let us train our 1st oversea SAF.. (i not a pro-taiwan)

i quite sympathize with LHL lor, or rather our ministers doing PRs with other countries. they seems to have alot to answer and they were like speaking on behalf of the whole singapore...
