now people have more "Zhi Qi" to bend under pressure... all these actions tat appears to pressurises the taiwan people to submission is actually doing the opposite... maybe china should focus on wat taiwan get to gain if they join back china instead of wat they lose if they refuses. singapore is not in such a position to point finger at others with a view to the matter like democracy. as when you guys took off your pants you will find it is also full of shlts. and a lot of people like using ideology stuff to make their own judgements... but that is really out of date concept.. sounds funny.
one extra question, i would like to get straight answer.. is it illegal in singapore that more than five people have a gathering?? just wonder if it is true or not? i really do not know.. and also a lot of similar stuff.. i would like to hear straight answer "yes" or "no".. just out of curiosity.. for nothing else. -

Well we can use SARS as an example when the virus was spreading in China the Chinese govt keep it under wraps for months until the virus spread to other countries.
In Singapore the govt announced the news from day one. It scared a lot of visitors away and businesses were badly affected. But the people were informed because they had the right to know.
Regarding the Taiwan issue I feel that China is overly aggresive don't you agree ? ( Its in the previous post ) -

But it cannot be helped in the case of China. China is a big country and made up of a lot of areas...Some areas are developed, some are not. And we didn't know which area in China the SARS first come from, it may appeared in one of the areas where only villagers living in. And it will take time for them to travel to a town area to see a government doctor. And in mean time, the SARS will travel and spread. Not like Singapore where anyone can seek a goverment doctor immediately..and a SAR case is then recorded and action can be done immediately. about Sars,, i really know nothing about it.. indeed.. do not know how to say.. but that is true,, china covered a lot of stuff for sure.. not only Sars.. and singapore gov did the right thing in this issue.. but i do believe singaporean gov. has also covered a lot of things.. so the only thing i can say is those two countries have got a lot of things to be done to make a progress in the road to democracy. and also i do not want to make a comparsion between these two countries.. in sense of democracy.. for example,, in singapore, more than certain number of people gathering are outlawed.. that is very bad indeed.. sounds like military curfew.. which is not happening in china. but it does not make china look any good in terms of democracy.. indeed.. that is the reason why i would like to say,, those two countries are pathetic.. i just want to admit the facts.. not to ignore it in the defensive way.Originally posted by tspg:I think you are refering to this question.

and the also about the taiwan issue,, china is aggressive indeed.. and taiwan is aggressive as well.. but this time it will come to end.. as showdown time is coming .. and it will affect every one living in this region.
the fact is when you realize sb is aggressive, perhaps it means sth is going to happen.. but i expect it will not happen.. -

The difference is Taiwan is aggressive because it wants to defend itself.
