  While your piece has all the ingredients of events happening in Singapore, how did you come to such a conclusion that JBJ seeks to enter Parliament with the objective of 'personal revenge' ?

  He got himself into ill- repute because he spent too much of his time targetting personal attacks against ministers esp LKY & GCT.
  
  He should know better, being a lawyer, and stop committing political suicide by talking libelliously.
  
  Talk sense when attacking PAP's unfair policies, people will listen - but dont get caught in stupid libel suits.

  What is Libel ?
  
  By whose standards are remarks deemed to be libellous ?
  
  If you are to relook at some of the libel cases thrown at JBJ, you will have a good laugh at the thin skinned response that our Political Leaders have towards personal and private attacks from the Opposition, and the speed in which they can start libel actions.
  
  Yet LKY (and less so from GCT) are so capable of the same kind of low performance - by ATTACKING the PERSONAL REPUTATION and REVEALING PRIVATE AFFAIRS of Opposition Members - with total impunity and immunity from the Law.

  I am no judge to query the courts decision in libel cases.
  
  But dont get me wrong,
  
  I have great respect for JBJ. He has guts.
  
  My sentences may sound like I dislike him, but I do not. I am just angry with him for recklessly throwing away one rare opportunity to be the voice of the people in parliament.
  
  And I know he dares to take the government to task. Its a pity.
