Is there a provision for the position of a Minister Mentor or Senior Minister (No. 2 in ranking) under the constitution?
I thought under the constitution, the office bearers should consist of president, prime minister, various ministers and members of parliament.
These office bearers are invested with duties and responsibilities properly sanctioned by the electrorate or parliament.
The post of deputy PM is no. 2 in the cabinet and not no. 3 after the SM. I am puzzled why such overriding changes were not explained up to now. In the case of elected president this was duly sanctioned by parliament under statutory provision. I don't see how minister mentor could be created without such sanction. Is he no. 2, 3 or 4 in the ranking after the PM. It is important to explain this hierachy to the people as the electorate is deemed to go to the votes to elect the best and not a team that needs to appoint a mentor. Furthermore, as the mentor may holds larger hidden power than the elected president, it is all the more important to explain such changes to the people. Regards,
