Jayakumar negotiation with Malaysia counter parts have failed miserably. Even Malaysia PM say that it is good to have GCT as SM cause it will be helpful for the bilaterial relationship.

I've worked for Minister Jayakumar before and on the contrary to what you've said, he's a very down to earth and considerate superior. He is firm of course, surely you want our DPM to be firm when it concerns matters concerning the nation's interests, right? As for the "negotiation" with Malaysia.... What negotiation? There wasn't any in the first place, how can you call it negotiation when one party wants to win it all? You have not been reading the papers, I suppose?
Well, everyone has an opinion, what;s wrong with opposing bar top dancing? He opposed but eventually it is still allowed --- isn't this part of democracy? Or most politicians always accede to everyone's whims and fancies? What if most Singaporean didn't want bar top dancing, and only a minority (you included) wanted it? Have you thought about that? -
