Looks like we have a Sammy fellaOriginally posted by edseeker31:then what qualifications do you have to be even posting anything here? We are all entitled the same way... not any little, not any more...
I sure hope whatever you've been saying here has been very healthy suggestions to the government, then why don't you explore on the possibility of flaunting your talents at GRCs. Don't do it here....
Wonder why you're going into every post to comment whats being said... Was it anything about you? Or was my so-called COCK up your arse that you'll be so disturbed?
Whatever happened to upbringing, if your was good, wouldn't your folks have taught you never to say things bad about another... or was your lacking too? my empathy...
incidentally, in regards to whether my "lam par" is "song" or not is of no concern of yours.... If I've a chance to vote for a competent opposition that will not be "shot down" the instance they have rallied support, I would have....Originally posted by cooleo:Looks like we have a Sammy fellahere. My parents didn't teach me not to say truthful things - making crude jokes about others reflects on one's upbringing is true, like it or not.
If u have a problem handling the truth, which i guess is the case, sleep it over, cry, sign in to a rehab center or whatever....at the end of the day, i'm sure you are those 'chui gong lan par song' Sammy fellas who meekly vote for PAP when it comes to crunch time.
If you cant stand the heat step out of the kitchen.Originally posted by edseeker31:sorry.. tspg... I just found out that its a habitual thing of yours to go around correcting people... I can fully empathise how difficult it is for you to control the urge to lash out at people like how you've clearly exemplified in the other post...
I didn't know that when you call us Singaporeans as Sillyporeans make you a less crude person... Or is it only because you've put your comments in a more English way, its less crude?
btw, are you even qualified as a Singaporean to make this remarks about us?
anyway, this post is all about LHL, not you, so I think I'll have to stop glamourising you... sorry... maybe another day we'll cross swords... not on my Friday nite... time to relax...

Looks like you have problems reading and intepreting complete sentences. Hm...it's ok.... I FORGIVE you....not. Unlike you, i am not going to place myself on a pedestral. Forgive me indeed. Thanks....but no thanks. What's next? Please don't allow yourself the pleasure to elevate yourself to be some holy person who says "I forgive you".Originally posted by edseeker31:incidentally, in regards to whether my "lam par" is "song" or not is of no concern of yours.... My boy, you're probably too young to realise that there are some places that PAP has walk-over and that we have no opportunity to even vote... So please keep your immature comments to yourself, wait till you grow up and be a breadwinner of the family before you come and posts your intelligence here...
If there is really a rehab... I think you'll need it more... First you go around commenting about other people's parents... then you come admitting yours didn't teach you well: "My parents didn't teach me not to say truthful things -" , and all while without realising that the things you say about us aren't the slightest bit refined.... and this exemplified your beautiful upbringing? using your hokkien verse makes you more refined? Isn't it obvious that your folks have not taught you the slightest bit about Respect? We're of equal status here, in fact I'm longer than you have though not much, what makes you think you have the qualities to comment about my upbringing?
haven't you already realised... you're the pot calling the kettle black.... Dwelling further into this issue will only bring me down with you... I've decided to forgive you for your immaturity and let the matter rest here... Grow up boy... One day you'll find the truth in what we say... the time when each and every one dollar of yours that you've hard-earned are "sucked-up" gradually leaving you to toil day in day out making the meagre sum while them in there sits around all day and makes tens of thousand on non-taxable income, yet only being concerned about how to increase their revenue without the concern for us...
Does anyone notice at all, the line-up of the Upper Echelon of the PAP Central Committee, which form the Upper Crust of the Government ?Originally posted by nasmeg:but after him .. who do you think will be the prime minister after Lee Hsien Loong ..
Wong Kang Seng? since he will be appointed as DPM .. Jayakumar cannot lah, hewill be too old ..
Wong Kang Seng must wait long long time .. perhaps same like Hsien Loong waited during Goh was PM ... 14 years?
Having Lee Hsien Yang to be next in line will cause a few Sammy fellas to get cardiac arrests...tat's for sure.Originally posted by Atobe:Does anyone notice at all, the line-up of the Upper Echelon of the PAP Central Committee, which form the Upper Crust of the Government ?
Almost everyone is related in one way or another to the Lee's - either through family lineage or through association with the Lee enterprises.
For the next PM after LHL, it will have to be someone with this lineage.
Search the Registry of Marriage, or the Lee's enterprises.
It will be interesting to note if MM LKY will remain as Chairman of the GIC, and whether GCT will have any functionary post on the GIC Board of Directors - which amazingly had left him out for the last 14 years when he was the PM, and yet we have DPM LHL being on the Board.

Your view is very laudable, and is SUPPOSE to be put in practise; but is it being done so by the very personalities that are suppose to rule by law ?Originally posted by tspg:The country is above the self and party. GIC and Temasek Holdings
are national institutions not Lee enterprises. They belong to the country not individuals.

The manner in which the Lee family, and its extended families, have so pervasively position themselves into GIC, Temasek Holdings, and its web of Government Linked Companies is evidence in itself.
Try telling this to LKY that the GIC, Temasek Holdings and all GLCs belong to Singaporeans, and not to the LEE Family and Extended Family.
If LKY is acceptable to this line of thought, the GIC would not have resisted so strongly the challenge put up by the ELECTED and late President Ong Teng Cheong, who had put up a spirited fight to enquire into the FULL ACCOUNTING of the GIC and the Singapore National Reserve.
A task that is supposed to be the job of the Elected President, and which was subsequently amended by legislation to prevent this original task from being performed.
Now is this telling enough ?

You seem to imply that they are putting their hands into the till.

Who controls the till, and its full accounting ?
Who is resistant to its full accounting, even when the Elected President's duty is to protect the National Reserves and had enquired to its FULL ACCOUNTING ?
Do you need to be stupid and greedy to be corrupted ?
Surely, you can be more sophisticated with a brilliant education system received.
If you are legally trained, one can do wonders with a legal mind.
How about paying yourself a million dollars as salary, bonus pay, incentive shares, rights issues, and you can benefit from the various appointments held by your goodselves, your extended family members, and your cronies ?
Just make sure you stay in political power and keep your ship on a steady course, and over time you can keep your good name and legally attained wealth, which no one has the power to object to your taking.
Just make sure that all efforts from any Opposition Parties, or Alternative Thinking from Brighter Minds, are stamped down.
Be sure to create all kinds - whether clear and unclear - boundaries, markers and zones to create as difficult an environment for Alternative Challenge to One's supremacy.
Are you living in a world of blissful ignorant innocence ?

Drop a hint here, draw an inference there without coming up with any proof.
You are just a trouble maker.
Or are you a foreign saboteur out to destroy the peace in SG ?
I dun support the PAP. There are better opposition in Singapore.Originally posted by Atobe:Why do you see the ghosts of a "trouble maker", or "foreign saboteur out to destroy the peace in SG" ?
Have my preceding posts in this thread touch a raw nerve on your side that you cannot cope ?
Your reply seems to be that of someone from the Ruling Party, or perhaps an 'apple polisher' grown and fed with the BS from the Single Ruling Party for too long.
You want a big hint, and proof of appointments being held and distributed ?
Hopefully, you have the capacity to draw your own inference, if you have any independent and critical mind that can work together.
