5. After defeating the Indonesians in Borneo, crabs will march onto Jakarta... our proud SG crab forces will sweep the toothless TNI aside like dirt
6. Crabs conquer Indonesia, and then set up independent Crab Republic in SE Asia (friendly to Singapore of course)
Thus, idwar's wet dreams of world domination are complete!!!

I am sure everyone agrees that breaking ties with Indonesia is a diplomatic disaster on the scale of the destruction Hurricane Ivan wrought on the United States.
With a huge forested land mass, it is impossible for the Indonesian authorities to properly police the area to apprehend and prevent farmers from setting fires to the forests. The benefits (to the farmers) far outweigh the detrimental effects the resulting haze has on the immediate region.
So far nobody has been able to come up with a solution effective enough to sufficiently curb the excessive burning by farmers and commercial companies. What Singapore is doing right now is just about the most we can do without outright meddling in their internal affairs. -

anyways indonesia is deepseated in corruption - for them to become a super power.....maybe the next century or 2 or maybe never.....first they have to settle their corruption, and ethnic tensions (especially when the ruling class is javanese) .
if singapore gets attacked by indonesia ...Malaysia will be likely help in its defence because I don't think they will like indonesia knocking at their doorstep. Besides, Indonesia may not even consider singapore because no resources once damaged...just more liabilities -
