Ppl keep saying I am. But I am not.
There are many areas which the current govt can improve on, but I still believe in the overall intergrity and ability of the current govt.
For those who keep complaining that there's is no avenue to voice their views, there are opposition party members in the parliament who can do so on your behalf.
You have an alternative. If you were uable to exercise your right to cast your vote in the elections, you can still can still contribute your time, money and knowledge in your respective field to the opposition resistence.

While it is commendable for any Singaporean to stand up and participate in Singapore Politics, is it necessary to form another Political Party to fragment, dissipate or dilute the valuable Anti-Establishment votes from the already fragmented Electoral Constituencies.
In the banking sector, local banks are urged to form amalgamation into bigger entities, so as to make each group of banks more efficient and competitive to deal with stronger competition.
Before NSP was formed sometime during 1980s, there already exist the Worker's Party, Singapore Democratic Party, Singapore Justice Party, Singapore Malay National Organisation, and PKMS.
Surely, anyone of these parties could have absorbed whatever talent there was that formed the National Solidarity Party ?
The problem with local politics is that personal egos take center stage, with every ambitious political upstart trying to be in the spot light, everyone feel that his political views are more superior then what is being offered by the other person.
It is about time that Opposition Parties take another look at their individual agendas for Singapore, find common ground to amalgamate their strengths, find common ground to stand together and offer themselves as a more credible alternative force to counter the Ruling Party. -
People like Chee are nothing but trouble makers.

Allow 10 % of seats to go to oppositions in the event of landslide victory by one dominant party.
Singapore will enjoy continuity of good governance without having to go through all the present problems or future upheavals. The young 16-40 should SMS the community development to see if intention to receive feedbacks from the young and for national long-term interest is for real.

Check and balance is the key to democracy.
For the sake the check and balance, and national interest, certain rights of people and need for opposition in parliament should be enshrined and upheld in our system.
If there is no check and balance, there is nothing to stop one dominant party to dominate with use of constituency boundary changes and GRC system to exclude the opposition.
Lack of quality candidates on the opposition benches is part of the side effect of such domination. We deserve one party domination if we fail to understand the real problems. Some will even say that is good. -

Can the Opposition Parties ever win any further wards when each party on its own has insufficient resources in funding, research and information, and talent ?
Each party has its own weaknesses and left to its own perpetuation can only result in further deterioating standards.
Will you so easily give up on a troublesome child, just because he is new into society, making a few mistakes that cannot be overlooked and forgiven, but to be condemned for the remaining life time of this child ?
Politicians cannot afford to be petty and small minded in order to succeed.
If the Politicians in the Opposition Parties cannot overcome such a mental block, can these Politicians be expected to take on larger issues that affect Singaporeans, Singapore, and the issues that affect Singapore and her neighbors ?
The fractious relationship between Malaysia and Singapore are created by Politicians on both sides.
If small minded and petty politicians cannot get over their precious private and personal attitudes and see the bigger picture, can we expect small minded and petty politicians on both sides to resolve the fractious relations between Malaysia and Singapore ?
It is time for Singaporean Opposition Politicians to get rid of their small minded and petty attitude, and learn to work together and help each other to be successful in the Singapore Political Arena. -

When proof is given you deny seeing the facts presented, but instead prefer to call names of people producing the facts as becoming "trouble makers" like "Chee".
Are you sure you know what cap size you intend to wear ?
Is this the kind of attitude of being a Member of an Opposition Party, who try to listen but only hear what they wish to hear, trying to see beyond issues but limited by the myopic vision from limited experience ?
At least J.B.Jeyaratnam will graciously admit his own weak positions, and make amends with sincerity enough to win him some admiring remarks even from LHL.
Try harder in improving your style of debate if you want to be successful as a member of an Opposition Party.

i bet many ppl arent PAP supporter if they have a better choice. i knw many friends who are on the friends and also know many relatives who care got ppl wash their corridor and trees in the walkway than interested in polical issue. well can we blame them. some year ago, i dont understand why ppl vote for PAP if they dont like them. but it change my mind. singaporean are selfish and indeed we need to fight for ourselves. can anyone blame someone who wish to keep thei estate clean and tide. some year back when opposition party won the bukit batok area, the area was dirty and few walkway was constructed. after PAP won it back, area was cleaner amd more walkways and community center was build.
as for myself, i will vote for opposition party no matter who fight in my area. coz i juts cant convince myself to vote for the PAP. anyway the opposition need to be given more chance to prove themselves then just a few years. when PAP first won the election, they can also asking ppl to give them a chance to prove themselves.
if there need a change in our political scene , it need to start somehwere, i dont want to be a lagger.
as for chee, he talk crap, but he dare to stand out and fight PAP. there are saying that he actually a spy from p.p to create havoc in the oppoistion party. well, we really see it now.
just my 4 cents worth.
