In singapore, whenever someone complaints that prices in Singapore keep increasing, there will be another who says it is still cheaper than many other countries.

I think the current solution adopted by our millionaire management is to act blur n let all those incapable people zhi4 sheng1 zhi4 mie4. Can allow import people to replace them.

Consumer prices in Singapore rose 1.6 percent on-year in July.
According to the Department of Statistics, the rise was led by increases in the cost of health care and education.
But July's rise was lower than market expectations of a 1.9 percent increase.
Food prices increased 1.7 percent as a result of dearer cooked food, fresh seafood, rice, pork, poultry and vegetables.
Health care costs rose 5.9 percent, mainly due to higher Chinese physician charges.
Transport and communication costs went up by 1.5 percent, as lower car prices failed to offset increases in petrol prices.
Higher prices of newspapers and tuition fees paid to foreign universities contributed to the 3.9 percent rise in the education and stationery index.
Higher prices of cigarettes and packaged tours pushed up miscellaneous items by 3.1 percent.
On the flip side, housing costs - the largest component of the CPI - fell by 0.3 percent, as a result of cheaper accommodation and household durables.
Prices of clothing fell 2.3 percent, on cheaper ready-made garments and footwear. - CNA
