Taiwanese Urged to Boycott Singapore

In the first place, LHL should have the political astuteness to know that he is just a small player in the Political Stage of this Big World; and what is the worth of his private visit, which would have been just as well served by sending perhaps more capable, experienced and discerning persons than himself - on the World's Political Stage - such as Professor Tommy Koh, or some senior ranking Government official or Civil Servant such as our UN ambassador Mr Kishore.
It is just stupid of LHL to say that his supposedly PRIVATE VISIT was merely to gauge the depth of the minds of the essential players on both sides of Taiwanese Politics - concerning their views of Taiwanese independence.
His remarks at the National Day Rally help to save his own skin with China, but was an insult to the Taiwanese, who have stood by Singapore since independence - by helping in the defense of Singapore with seconded air force pilots during the early days of independence, and continue to contribute to Singapore's National Defense with military training ground in Taiwan.
Both China and Taiwan are our friends, and although their quarrels will have very wide implications if it ever come to blows, it is too presumptious of LHL that his opinion is of any value if it is formed by his own personal visit to Taiwan, or that any world leaders will seek his views at all - when he is so early into the office of being Singapore's PM.
There are many important issues in Singapore alone to keep him busy for the first year in Office, does he need to take on more World issues at the same time that may cause his old sickness to resurface ? -
Taiwanese ppl are very nice and friendly one. Those who have been to Taiwan will know. Dun start bashing Taiwan because of wat a few stupid politician said.

glad to see others standing up for logic and sense. anyways heres another thought. China is a giant, Taiwan ain't small either. If they come to blows, Singapore being as tiny as we are, certainly dun wanna be caught inbetween, least we be crushed between the 2 of them.

before LHL went to taiwan, who knows who is he? no one. at least in china, not many people know who he is (i am in shanghai now)
after he went taiwan
"hey, i heard your country's next PM went to taiwan! he called something something Long right? Lee kuan yew's son?"
to me, its a gimmick to make people know him as he take over, what he really did in taiwan did not really mattered actually...be it he just went there for a bite.

Let us all be rational here, politicians and anyone are alike no matter where you come from. Once their country is being bashed, they will react accordingly, I'm sure our minister would do the same went someone commented our country.
So let not be too quick to judge others, lets look at ourself first. 'cos it easier to judge others than to be judged. We are into globalisation so whoever is in a fight, those who are in connection to either parties would naturally be "involved" into the fight. Taking side would be the last resort.... -
