Just needs to vote opposition. You guys must understnad one thing: The chances of the opposition getting enough seats to win an election is very low. By voting opposition, you are not voting for an untried and untested government. You are voting for a more democratic and accountable parliament. We need to give the opposition a voice in parliament.

give miong bro a break lah. i somehow agree that certain rules should be tighten when singapore issue PR. Citizen should have it priviledge.
life indeed tough here in singapore but it aint getting better anywhere else too. pro and cons. countries that provide good social benefits need to pay high taxes.
but govt can do better in certain area such as :
1. taking care of the handicapp ppl. already SM goh mention that in next PAP agenda. i do hope the realise that and give some hope to those handicapp ppl. and minister balakrishan to shut up when they say handicap could reduce productivity and cost of the govt ministries.
2. continue improvement to provide better subsidies to the older ppl.
for those who are able and strong, please dont depend on the govt lah, it better to depend on yourself. if we know living standard is high, spent less on we should keep our life simple and manageable. -

How do they compare to the existing ruling party for what
they did before and after the previous polls?

yeah, i agree u on this point, they lack of the talent and are unable to convince the majority to vote for them. Furthermore PAP always recruit bright talents to join their party, thus gaining advantage over their opposition.
Think of it this way,we were raised in a way the government wants us to be, lawful-bidding citizens who aren't afraid to speak out,but afraid to take political actions. There could be a lot of opposition parties if everyone takes action but not words, but unfortunately there aren't much, either because we are fearful of the law or simply not interested in politics. -

You're absolutely right, from what I've gather; most people are in fear of voting against PAP even if they are not happy with PAP. Cos, Pap have this access to everyones' identity in the country.
