Will u let your daughter date/marry an Indian guy? I notice a lot of chinese parents will oppose their daughter doing so...how about ppl in this forum?? What are your views??

my father definitely wun allow me to marry any other race or nationality. he's becoming more and more racist lately. maybe aging problem.

This is indeed a Racial question, but nonetheless, it is a fact and marrying accross races these days is common.
So we're talking Indian here.
Personally, I am Chinese, but what's important to me is the QUALITY of the other party, NOT the race. Perhaps, yes, given that if my family is very traditional, then it would be difficult. But still, my daughter's happiness and security will be my priority.
As for other races, I would STRICTLY PROHIBIT if the other party is Western. I have my reasons, and as well my right not to disclose. -

So what if my daughter wants to marry an Indian. Its the person that matters not the race. My daughter would be worst off with some chinese that I know of.

i would never ever control my children when they have reached a certain maturity...
it is their lives to lead, not mine.. living vicariously through them will only ruin their lives and make my own a misery because they would be miserable...

I think that at the age of 21 onwards they are mature enough to make choices. Unless they are underage and it is the duty of parents to protect them.
Love relationship is between 2 involving party and often 3rd party like parents are hard to control! -

My cousin is married to an Indian fellow. Both doctors.
I think the issue is his position in society, not race. I guess my uncle and auntie are more concerned about his qualifications and whether he can support their daughter. Since he's a doctor, they have no objections.
However, if she married a prata man, of course they will kpkb...
Therefore I feel that it is a matter of class not race... -
i dunno.. if my daughter married a prataman who loves and cares well for her, i'd be bloody happy for her if she's happy!

i will oppose my daughter to marry an Indian man, if i have one but not my son marrying an Indian woman.

i'm not comfortable with the idea of my daughter marrying someone of a different race, not just an indian
but like what some of us said , if he loves my daughter and can provide for her, i see no reason why i shouldn't let them marry
unless he's malay\muslim
my reasons for this is simple ,malays here are almost 100% muslims, and for my daughter to marry one she would have to follow a religion that she would not believe in and give up her own, even though religion in a personal matter of a personal choice
