Four on trial for dunking death of soldier

Somebody son who was suppose to be in the good hand of the government, dead in the hands of those 4 army officers. What damn nonsense not to plead guilty? The truth of their brutal acts is all over their faces!
I bet you to a nation wide protest all the way from the street to the governor house would have long been taken place if this happened in anywhere except Singapore!
Who is going to pay for the parents' dead son if these officers are proved not guilty?
These officers deserved to be thrown behind bars who had brutally ended the life of a bright young man future! Is very sad!
Justice has to be done!

I am speechless.
I am aware of this incident, but like many other mishaps that involve our government, it will and shall be handled in due course and in their own fair way.
Unfortunately and fortunately, Singapore is not a place where people can openly protest and scream their unhappiness in public.
It's out of our hands really.
Just sit and watch is all.... -

All may be very remorse or contrite about this incident. But is there a hands-on system to improve management.
Accountability and productivity is not something in the mind. It is something that can be checked and verified even casually by all citizens or parents upon visits to camps or upon request.
Senior officers in all services can just take the initiatives to let internal processes kept in the mind come out in processes that can be seen or inspected to facilitate teamwork, coordination and habitual doing on daily basis to prevent accidents at seas, intrusions of immigrants and worksite accidents as well.
Such accountable and excellent processes can be easily displayed as good guidance without concepts, justifications or reporting. It is something in the daily doing of our works which are integrated into actual works and readily presented easily in simple supervisor's guidance or checklist.

Freaking hell.They have the uppermost guts not to prove guilty and walk to the courtroom without any face of remorse or of any of such sorts???what kind of human beings are they??!?Don't blame that poor soldier as he could try to achieve as high as he possible could as an NSF and bugger off after 2 half years while those guilty can't and are stuck there
I am sick of deaths after deaths in the SAF and NO ONE bother to come up to the public and behave and work like a real MAN and addreess the problems that happened and take accountability.Cases wil open and then just submerged and never known to the public again.And this...WHY is MINDEF paying in full for those poor misery souls defence?what is MINDEF proving here???can any of u "top notch"pple ub MINDEF explain this??The deceased would havebeen some real man himself when he ORD and contributing to the society and of course ,his family.Because of some people who have no sense of ermorse or ethics that went through a system of disfuntionalities,took a life away...no no...that's not all...the dreams,aspirations,ambitions that the family once would thought would be on his path but now gone......Justice,my friends,is sweet.....but without a proper spetular..there';s no way the sugar is going to absorb in the hot drink..... -

only when things go wrong and is beyond covering up, that it gets reported in the media... but then, such cases will most probably get drag over a long period of time so that nobody remembers by the time the verdict is reached... sigh... -

sue the trainers and sue Mindef on charges of manslaughter and negligence
with heavy compensation.
if their punishment and compensation are too low, simply tells you how worthless actually doing NS really is.

Frankly, I do not understand where will all these delay & daily trial lead to. Obviously, someone innocent was tortured to death by these men using their very own gruesome rules & yet the manas a commander of a battalion, distanced himself from the tragedy by saying he knew nothing about it. What the crap is that?
Whoever here in the forum who put yourself or your own son in that decease position, how much pain do you think that person had gone through before he was being brutally & openly killed. So what do people here think? What should be the appropriate verdict?

Dead is dead. You can't revert the brutal acts. Please spare the decease family from more pain. Justice has to be done. Terminate those murderers contract & put them behind bars. Only that will ease some pain from the related families. -
i had posted quite a similar thread before but was locked due to some saying it is racistic.....actually i am not racist and i have many indian buddies....just that i questioned why the system has 75% indian supervising the commandoes?
don't forget most indian families have family problems and usually all their family members and friends and relatives will turn up at a couple's flat whenever they have a big quarrel.....end up all involve in the disputes....making matters worse....
are the supervisors sick or what?
think they should be sent to Iraq to test their endurance level.....

aiyah the army recruit so many lowly-educated people as 'encheks' or simi lan jiao warrant officers, and they have no idea of what is humanity. If these people are not recruited by army, they will probably be out doing cleaner or driver jobs.
just look at the 4 who took delight in shaming a CAPTAIN by stripping his rank off and stamping on it. KNN...poor SOBs, that was probably the only chance they can tekan such a high ranking officer.

Person X dunked someone into the water. The person drowned as a result. Person X is found not to comply with the orders and the water dunking is not in the syllabus. Person X is in the wrong.
So whats so difficult abt the trail ? Witness (checked), evidence (checked), cause of death (checked).... this wayang show is going to drag months and even years and hopefully people forget abt it.
