Upgrading of Potong Pasir

Can anyone explain to me the situation of the upgrading works in Potong Pasir? Is there any form of upgrding in Potong Pasir? Will there be any form of upgrading for that area? What are the resident's view on this lack of upgrading works going on in that area?

since when did the Party get generous and pay for upgrading in opposition areas?

Does this mean that people living in an area under the opposition is disadvantaged? What does this shows about the government? Is this action Legal? Why is it that no one raise this issue to the government AKA HDB? I remebered reading about some complains over the issue of upgrading in Potong Pasir before,sadly I did not understand it. i love potong pasir, grew up there for so many years, still part of my hometown now. no major upgrading as far as i know, except maybe the building of the st andrew's village, which aims to create a top institution comprising of the sa junior, sec and jcs. hope maybe that can attract more people into coming into the area. potong pasir is one of the few places left where there's this sort of 'kampong' sense of neighbourhood..love it...

Public funds belong to all Singaporeans equally not the government in power.
Use of public funds for upgrading of estates and individual HDB flats (like increasing his floor areas etc) should be in accordance with principles of fairness, equity, accountability and transparency.
Any upgrading decisions should be based on dates of original construction or deteriorations of conditions. There should be no discrimination of any kinds against such criteria as stated above-said.
In the event of likelihood of conflict in use of public funds for purpose of influencing electoral process, such conflict should be allowed to be heard by an constitution sub-court which has the power to recommend any remedial actions or reversal of prejudiced decisions by the executive as posted in the 7 points of true democracy or in accordance with relevant sections under the constitution. -
Linking upgrading to vote for PAP sucks. One of the worst move by PAP. They may win the vote temperorily from the greedy people, but they lost the heart of people.

i hope PAP must try to do something when there a request.
btw, who say PAP only take care of their area. i live Jurong area..where long term PAP control. 90% of our flat still have to walk down from lift. -
Neither can opposition use S&C charges to do that? That may deprive the regular cleaning of the corridor

We learned in Social Studies that the Government was more interested in developing the industrial area for Jurong. A fancy term for the practice of rewarding the voters who votes for you.
Apparently, politicans (Western) in the past used to reward their voters by giving out meat from a Pork Barrel. -
Maye they're doing taht on purpose...how come PAP controlled area all made to pgrade when ppl dont want and the opposition who wanst to upgrade dont get it?
