So i use Taiwan flag as a table cloth can? Since u said it is only a piece of cloth. N after eating just throw it away together w e junk food in it. who's to say what u can or cannot do to a piece of cloth???
meanings are attached to symbols by humans... it is also up to people to decide if these meanings are really serious or not, or what contitutes an offence when others abuse these symbols.
all in all, u must see the WHO the offender is... in this case, its a bunch of pro-independence clowns that do not represent the majority of taiwanese opinions and who are probably too ignorant to see that nobody would support taiwan if they really decided to declare independence...
if i went and declare pulau ubin independent, would u think that i'm a pro independent revolutionary or a nutcase who just got out of hougang chalet?

if i love my country so much and wanna hang the flag out every day, wanna wear it as a t-shirt, i cannot because it is against the law... and that is just ridiculous to me.

I think this time,our government bring it upon themselves!Taiwan n China issue is suppose to be resolve by them,why the hell our foreign minister wanted to make a stupid comment n go n intervene.Some ppl eat finish got nothing to do and like to act like an idiot!I think our goverment is "too free" already,they should concentrate on the "high unemployment rate" n critical internal issue than to go around critising other countries or region!Besides,Taiwan lend their land for us to train army their,n yet our government keep on criticising them like an "ungrateful idiot"!

national education? i'm not in the habit of taking at face value what my government tells me because i feel that it is the responsibility of a citizen to find out, think and decide for themself what is going on.
i love my country... i don't need to prove that to you. i wear it in my heart, not on my lips. its easy to talk about it... but it is my understanding that the loud ones are usually the ones most likely to cower and piss their pants when called upon to do their duty.
if u love your country, u will pray that cooler heads prevails so that the crisis is resolved with minimum bad feelings on both sides... life will go on eventually... if u insist on taking the loud way out, it will just go on with a lot of unease on both sides.
its not about friends, its not about whose side u're on. Taiwan isn't Sg's friend. China isn't Sg's friend. in diplomacy, u only have one friend and that's your national interest.
its called jackal diplomacy... piggy back on the position that has the most support and ride on it. right now, the biggest loser isn't Sg... so what side is there to take???
