If all the rain water that falls on Singapore is collected and stored, will we be self sufficient in water ?

Reservoirs can only hold so much, so the rest has to go to the sea. Build extra storage area, yeah sure. But remember everything comes with a price tag. Don't say already, wait I kenna marked for making inconstructive critism.

i think the second contract with malaysia ends in 2060+ or so
first one already expired. -

newater alone oso not sufficient to keep us sustained oso
it's oni a scare to show our frenly neighbour tt we can make our own water and they MAY lose tt portion of their income.....(selling us water) -
Making newater is more expensive than making semi-newater.
Semi-newater is everywhere where people don't look. Channel all surface drains together into canals or streams and link them all up. Very soon all the rainwater down pipes from all buildings and sites will be providing us with lots of water.
It is more economical to do this than to keep filtering sewerage to central plants for reverse osmosis.

New reservoirs can be build at sungei punggol and sungei serangoon. The Jurong lake can be turn into a reservior also. The current reserviors can be deepen and enlarge to collected more water. Its better to be self-reliant on water.

Got plans to seal off Marina Bay. Read this sometime earlier. Should provide us with 1/3 more water supply I think.
Ideally, I think sealing off water passage way between Singapore and Malaysia maybe can supply a lot of water too. Can build two causeway at the two end, serving both as additional link to Malaysia as well as creating a huge reservior for both countries to use. But of course, this is just my wishful thinking. Too much politics involved even if this is feasible.
Other possibility is maybe look at possible linking of offshore island. Maybe, say link the two sisters island up. More wishful thinking from me -
Suggestion to deepen reservoirs was given before some people but was hastily vetoed by civil servants.
Just like other suggestions like duck tour mentioned by LHL in his inauguration speech, civil servants are not entrepreneurial.
