General Election Preparations Heating up?

I have just visited SPP's website. Seems that they expect the General Elections to be called any time from now. "Volunteers and Candidates WANTED for the next General Elections", the call in RED reads.
According to some grapevines, election is definitely in the pipeline, with preparations drawn up within the civil service. But some said it is the presidential election instead of the general elections. It might well be a decoy to hide the real intent of calling a snap elections.
So folks, I could see that many of you have been spending time writing in this forum to express your ideas and ideals you have for Singapore. But anyone here game enough to do more for your country by stepping forward to help this country in its most difficult transformation?
Anyone would want to heed the call of SPP and join them, help them to see how you could do whatever little things to contribute to Nation building?
I would even encourage those more PAP-inclined forumites like Barracuda to join YPAP to get himself involve in the election process by helping PAP in whatever capacity. Make your choice, choose your stand, that's what democracy is all about. Talking endlessly here brings you no where. Get "politically educated" via the involvement in the electorate process.

Alternatively, maybe someone could coordinate a group of independent political rally reporters so that sgforum could have the best political rally reports during the election time.

You mean you don't see any interest from Workers' Party to contest hotly in coming elections? I think you must be mistaken!
I heard forumites (dunno whether they are from here or not) are complaining about Aljunied GRC using Town Council funds to put up MPs photos all over the place. Eventually, Aljunied GRC has to cover these big billboards up with some other posters... you know why they actually did that?
If we are not actively giving pressures to those PAP incumbants in Aljunied GRC, do you think they ever bother to put up big billboards of their MPs' faces? And not to forget to mention the early Sunday morning coffee breakfast presence of the PAP MPs in the markets!
We use our brains to work, not noise to work. If you ever bother to find out how much SUSTAINABLE preparations we have made since 2002, you won't make such comparisons! Workers' Party election preparations started long time ago! We don't need to make announcements like that, asking people to come forward as candidates, basically because we are already in the selection process. I think I am revealing too much details here already. Neverthless, the most classic exclaimation we heard from residents when we do our house visit is :"Oh, now I know why my MP so hardworking nowadays!".
Maybe you are living some other places which deprive you the opportunity of meeting up with our candidates. But that doesn't mean we aren't giving it a good fight on the ground.

Opposition members never fail to irritate the hell out of moderates out there by labeling them as PAP. I dont see how people like you who refuse to admit and see short-comings in your own sugestions should be in the parliament. I dont think you are capable or fit to lead. I think the feeling is mutual.
You see, it is I who make the comment about you, why would you want to use the label "Opposition"? Hidden agenda on your part?
I didn't know people will get so upset about being defined as Pro-PAP or PAP inclined. Why you get so work up? The answer is pretty obvious, Barracuda.
You are the agent. You want to keep your "middle ground" image and whenever the opportunity arises, you will try to lump up everything to put it as "Opposition".
And as I have said in my previous post, you suits every bit of the agent. You are here to pretend that you are the "middle ground", "moderate" people, slowly moulding opinion of what "middle ground" people should feel about "opposition". Whenever there are chances, you will jump on it. You set traps, like asking me whether certain news are being reported in HK, hoping that I will fall into it. Nah. That wouldn't work on me.
And you think this is the great opportunity to jump on me, discrediting me as incapable or I refuse to "admit" and see the short comings in my own suggestions....etc etc. Nah. You hardly engage in debates with me. Even your comments on the Fine tuning of the GRC system as well as the Sound Barrier is pretty amateurish. You see things exactly like the PAP, using dollars and cents to value things...even flats that are affected by noise along the MRT tracks! Why would you want to value things and digitize things like that when there are better options to improve things? That could only come from PAP's mindset, treating people as digits and statistics.
And of course, the votes is more important; you have repeated TWICE about "be sure that you will not get my vote" since I appear in this forum! I mean, for such a short span of time, you already made up your mind TWICE?

I am a member of the public who is concerned about the future of the country. I am not affliated to any political party. So who's bias here.
Low Thia Kiang and Chiam See Tong have show their humility and sincerity in serving their constituency. Their hard work and efforts are admirable.
Chee Soon Juan has been trounced election after election. Yet he continue to claim that he speaks for Singaporeans.
So who are you going to learn from ? -

Whatever stuffs you regard as "party propaganda" here is so insignificant compared to the daily bombardment you get from the local mass media!
You just claim that you are a member of the public who is concerned about the future of the country, not affliated to any political party... but look at it this way, the things you write, just blow your cover. Not affliated to any political party doesn't mean no inclination towards any political party. Try to play with wordings?
You have tried to avoid my direct blows by providing such "vague" statements. You deliberately set the trap and waits to discredit me, right or not? I think it is time for you to change your nick.
Trying to diffuse the attacks that you are the agent by mentioning good things about Chiam and Low will not work for me; well, maybe some will be fooled by such tactic, but I believe people here are smarter than you think.
And yes, the most effective tool of the agent; deliberately use differential technique of separating Chiam, Low and Dr. Chee, and try to discredit their target by saying "you are like Dr. Chee"! But again, the real middle ground moderates are no fools. They could judge pretty well on this.
As I have said, you hardly know me, how do you know I am not as sincere as Chiam and Low? And I learn from Dr. Chee? You must be kidding! I am the most robust critic of Dr. Chee!

is Goh Meng Seng going to contest ? I tot elections will be boring this time round without Chee Soon Juan around. So will GMS shout at LHL demanding more transparency from Temasak Holdings ?
