What people nation?? Everything is about cost & that what's our government believe in.
Policies are just simply rules to follow & people here will be pressed till they die.
Comparing with other nation? Please, look at our salary scale & the standard of living here before we start to compare.
For those who have job, money & went aboard, is unlikely they are expected to return unless with valid objectives.
They talkcock and kpkb to the government about starhub's monopoly, but after they did their research they realised singapore market too small, so they diam diam lorOriginally posted by skyfoo:i thought last time singtel says they want to venture into the tv industry?
At the rate which we are going, the unemployment rate increasing and a lot more nonsense, many young people are going to leave this place. The government simply favors foreign talent and give them fat pay and good jobs. No wonder there are not enough jobs to go around. So if i have the chance,Im gonna leave. I rather leave this place and be branded as a "quitter" instead of letting my future go to waste.Originally posted by goatiechat:You lucky son of the day. I bet even if I did not start the topic, that someone else would have.
After so many years of living here & experiencing extreme transition of nation building, I assure you, you guys are going to have even tougher time ahead of you. Whether you like it or not, there is going to be lesser jobs, lower pay, higher cost of living but not the standard, more stressful etc. etc.
Your friend feels relax about everything because the suffering is not on him but his or her parent. We are the one who has to salvage every single cent for our household & children. Mind you, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Winning $20 out of nothing seem so easy to you but having to earn hard for $20, may just be something leave a lot to ponder over.
Anyway, I had my good old time when I was a student but sad to say, it will just remain as good old days. Lucky son, enjoy while you can!

Starhub has been making lots of effort trying to control and keep down the price, but as usual, singaporeans are not appreciative. No doubt there might be a bit of profitering out of this situation--but thats for the admin cost and GST.
We want to see a competitor in the local pay tv. Not starhub doing the monopoly. Rising the fee for Singapore only? Did they rise for those people in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong. The people there are watching EPL through ESPN and Star Sports, if Singapore increase, there also must increase. Starhub Cable TV, do not think that you won't be bouycotted

Pardon me if I'm wrong. Is this a place for people to contribute their thoughts on the mentioned issue or,
Taking this opportunity to make sarcastic remarks on people who are making an effort to contribute to the success of this forum?
Moderator, please enlighten me.
If there are people who are from Starhub & are unhappy about the issue, well I would like to make a suggestion. Please read what others had written carefully before you quote someone.
If you do not have the intellectual to understand the argument of the issue, I believe this forum will lose nothing without your sarcastic remarks on others.
Is sad to see that this forum is fast becoming a place for child play.
