Yeap - the old Malaysian uniform resembles the Rhodesian camo - a real classic pattern, might still be in use by certain African countries.Originally posted by Meremere:I prefer the old MAF uniform which resembles the Rhodesian camo. Since we're on the subject of camo uniforms, can anyone enlighten me as to how the process of applying the different colours to the fabric are done?
I really have no idea why that camo scheme was chosen, but if the uniforms were Olive Green, then they might be mistaken as being members of the Security Forces, so a slightly different camo pattern was chosen, which if you look at it closely, looks similar to the LTTE camo uniform (same pattern different colour).Originally posted by Gordonator:the blue malaysian national service uniform looks....
cannot make it...

Yes, I agree with tvdog -even the former East Bloc countries are looking more Western nowadays.Originally posted by tvdog:Their new uniform looks different from ours, but not quite different enough. They're already wearing the same type of helmet, and their Steyr AUG can look like the SAR-21 in the distance or low light.
Very easy for friendly fire incidents. I find that modern armies are looking more and more similar in dressing and armaments.
Even the PLA now look very like any western army. They, too, are wearing a helmet very similar to the US pattern helmets.
I would like to see you say that face to face to a Malay, you sick boy.Originally posted by boi86:Damn... I tink the malaysian uniform looks even nicer, when i burn it. Then becomes black. Malays r black dogs, so they wear black uniform... wah, perfect match...
Yes, you're right-Zimbabwe still use the same Rhodesian camo, and India has a similar pattern camo.Originally posted by bcoy:Yeap - the old Malaysian uniform resembles the Rhodesian camo - a real classic pattern, might still be in use by certain African countries.
I agree with tvdog-moderators, do you allow such statements as this?Originally posted by tvdog:I would like to see you say that face to face to a Malay, you sick boy.
