Good choices although don't agree that TTRL is a war movie, more like anti-war, too much cynicism to enjoy. Sorry if offend anyonw when add that anti-war movies should be labelled such not 'dressed up' otherwise.
Other interesting choices:
"Taps" - story about military academy being closed, about value of honour and duty taken to its extreme.
"Galipoli" - on ANZAC WW1 sacrifice. About friendship sic., also another anti-war flick.
"Zulu" - defence of Roakes Drift where less than 100 British fought off about 4,000 Zulu warriors. Most number of Victoria Crosses won at single engagement.
