SAF vehicles

Guys.... saw this vehicle( SUV) with MID number plates just recently near my camp. Funny thing was that all the windows were tinted and it had curtains at the rear window. Doesn't even look like a common vehicle in spore. Plus it looks damn cool. Any idea what it is....some super classified vehicles or is it for some bigshot in the army. And who drives it?

Those are experimental vehicles for the signallers.

Btw, besides the MB recovery vehicle bases use, is there any bigger recovery vehicles?
My friend claim he saw one during his arty battalion exercise, where one lift one tonner up onto a hilltop...i tot he is kidding me.. -
How big you want? BX recovery big enough?

I've seen it too.. it was in the papers and also on display at the AOH a few months back. i think its the chemical response team that uses it, but i think certain commanders in the SAF were given 1 to test it out

phyre, what i suspect you saw was a Ssangyong Rexton. SAF purchased a number of them at the middle of his year. It appeared in a press release which i saw on Channelnews Asia (couldn't find it anymore). Its exact purpose is unknown to me..... try asking someone in 1/3 Tpt Bn! haha

can i make a guess for this crane? mecerdes based vehicle and it has something that looks like a launcher and a piece of metal block on this launcher?
