Most of the books are good, but you jumped the shark with Executive Orders. Big time. Making Jack Ryan the US President was a good short-term decision, but in the long run, it was dumb. You can't go any higher if you're the most powerful man on earth!
And basket..... some of the scenarios are simply too unbelievable.
In the Bear and The Dragon.... How on earth can the US airforce decimate one TANK ARMY into a brigade!?!?!
In Executive Orders.... One division of US armour (one brigade OpFor, one brigade National Guard, one brigade regulars) can whack SIX Iranian divisions!?!?!? -

there used to be a video made by the National Geographic regarding the Opfor....the record they hold is unbelieveable in the US Army....They win almost everytime.... -

Dude, please stick to Europe when you write. When you get out of Europe your right-wingness and racism and sterotyping is so blinding it spoils the whole book. Ref: Debt of Honour, Executive Orders, and the horrible, horrible The Bear and the Dragon.
Don't write anymore Jack Rayn stories. Write a sequal to Rainbow Six and while you're at it please retire poor John Clark. He's done more than enuf for his country.
I think your best book was Red Storm Rising.
Stick to non-fiction from now on. A new series on the US military akin to what you did for "Armored Cav", "Figher Wing" etc etc will be very much welcomed. Maybe you can go to Iraq and cover the Stryker brigade that's there.... -
I agree. Tom Clancy's stereotyping of Asians was just too much for me to handle. In addition, I can understand that his being American would inevitably lead him to trump the might of the American military..... but his trumping-up process is just too much for me to bear. In Executive Orders..... basket..... the only American casualties sustained on the ground were the crew of a single HumVee (right?) How can that be when the Americans were outnumbered by more than six to one? (20 Iraqi/Iranian brigades vs 3 American regiments)
Even if the Americans have more advanced technology (which they do), surely the casualties would be a lot more than that?
