you are correct...the thickest part (the left hand one) is it called the stock?Originally posted by fudgester:Really? I thought in hormat senjata (for M-16, at least) your left hand is on the thickest part of the hand guard? As for the right hand, it's on the thinnest part of the butt?
Correct me if I'm wrong, fellows.![]()
SAR-21 drills will always be done wif sling on isit? I see SAF day parade and NDP, those using SAR will have sling one...Originally posted by fudgester:I never managed to master the hormat senjata drill for M-16..... Not surprisingly, I was subject to many tekan sessions by my BMT platoon sergeant.Oh well, at least I wasn't alone.......
I could do the drill for SAR-21 hormat senjata.... but it just isn't as smart as the M-16 drill.
lol...so fun meh?Originally posted by wuming78:my favourite drill move!![]()
if executed properly, it is perhaps the most impressive of the standard set of drills we learn.Originally posted by sgFish:lol...so fun meh?
Not necessarily. The GOH at the 9div/Inf merger parade used the SAR21 without the sling.Originally posted by Zooish:SAR-21 drills will always be done wif sling on isit? I see SAF day parade and NDP, those using SAR will have sling one...![]()
I thought officers won't have to do the drill, rifle version after they are commissioned?Originally posted by wuming78:my favourite drill move!![]()
Wah.... then how do they do all the drills? SAR 21 is too short to turun senjata, right? Don't tell me they rusuk senjata all the way..... that'll be tiring.Originally posted by EXCO:Not necessarily. The GOH at the 9div/Inf merger parade used the SAR21 without the sling.

Tafukul, Junarm Senjata?Originally posted by baer:The more difficult drill is the 'ground arms' for miltary funeral (can't remember commands) when the weapon is faced down, hands on butt (which is at hip height) and heads bowed. Have practiced this but luckily never done it for real.

I nvr do drill using SAR 21 before so i dunno... but SAR got no foresight tip, how to rusuk after turun?Originally posted by fudgester:Wah.... then how do they do all the drills? SAR 21 is too short to turun senjata, right? Don't tell me they rusuk senjata all the way..... that'll be tiring.
I was in the NDP last year. We did the SAR 21 drills with sling. The SAR 21 drills are easier compared to the M-16 drills, but not as smart.
What I think.... the M-16 hormat senjata drill is the smartest of all drills, although it's also the toughest. I never mastered it in BMT, and when I got posted to my unit I was issued with a SAR 21.![]()
