What is a Plant Operator vocation?

  HI guys, I just got my vocation.
  
  I am to report to Jurong Camp and my vocation is: Plant Operator.
  
  Does anyone have an idea what I will do? Need Helmet, SBO? And what is the duties like? Stay in how many days a week?
  
  No one seems to have heard this vocation b4. The name sounds funny also. Will someone enlighten me plssss . thanks
  
  is it a cheongsua unit? Will life be easy or should i just go jump off now?

  welcome to the engineer family, one of the most easy job in the engineer family. basically what you will be going is to operate equipment like excavator, shovel and dozers like those used in construction sites to support enginner operations.
  
  don't need to chong sua, don't even need to walk coz most of the time either got tonner or your plant

  'C' Vehicle Operator.Supports the field engineers in exercises by clearing obstacles with excavators,operates and maintains forklifts,tractors, generators and fuel tanks too, if I'm right.

  Agree: It's among the least siong of all the SCE vocations.
  
  I guess it's a combat posting, so you shall get regular nights-off like the rest of the unit if there's no scheduled training. Rifle/helmet are standard.

  webbing, helmet and personal weapon are the standard basic items for any soldier who has to operate in the field.

  30sce should be a hellish five weeks. That's all you gotta get through actually.
  
  Actual plant training at soce later would be totally different. Get ready to slack all the way after that!
