Anyway, here's a pix of the new lights I got.....two weapon mounted versions (the small one on the Bushy is portable enough for pocket use) and a pimpy looking one for daily carry (80 lumens from a Luxeon LED).

sidestep, the batteries are similar to the ones used in cameras and such. otherwise you can go to sheares cause they carry SF batteries.
anyway, i-SHOT, it seems you're based in the US? nice to have someone over there here. do you know brad of LF? anyway you kiddin man? gladius is priced at over 200 usd? damn that sucks. was looking forward to getting one. blah am not surprised with the pricing anyway. it's bhi, whaddya expect. and with all the technology in that small package.. -

Palmerised, if you are taking about Brad from Lightfighter, yeah, I know who he is. We met at last year's TREXPO and I bump into him every so often but we don't say much to one another.
Dude, I could be wrong about the GLADIUS but I could have sworn that was the MSRP they were hinting at the SHOT Show. It might hit the market lower. Tough to say right now 'cos it's not yet available (I think).
And yeah, I'm US based (8 miles from Quantico, the Marine base) but I'm a Singaporean, the only one I know stateside whose in this biz. I was looking for local forums to get a feel for what's going (before I open a Singapore office) when I stumbled across this one.
You guys sure do know your stuff

How much those lights in MSRP? Or you are only selling to dealers? -
hotspotter, we haven't decided yet on the whether we'll be retailing or simply just wholesale to dealers. Most of my current business is wholesale so we'll have to make a decision on this soon. The manufacturer is making some slight tweaks and I will have the new MSRP posted very shortly. Thanks

hope what you saw was wrong man.. 200 bucks for a light? maybe ill stick to my M2 and just 'strobe' the switch manually. heh.

Hotspotter, we're gonna start on a small scale as usual. Stateside we do a fair share of business but I personally wouldn't get a good handle on the potential for Singapore until we've gotten some exposure. Who knows, this could be sizeable. FYI, besides our SERT stuff we'll also be representing a small number of US companies, both products AND trainers & consultants. Other than the lights you see above, we'll also be marketing the following:
SIGTAC - the new tactical apparel line from SIG SAUER (I'm a US dealer right now and we helped them design the initial line)
SIDEARMOR - holsters and other tactical kydex
MIL-COMM - TW25 lubricant is almost the standard for the US SOF
MPro 7 - Our choice of gun cleaners (hardly any smell)
BLUE GUNS - those blue inert ones for training

Palmerised, I usually scope the forum out but I usually don't participate. Most are gear junkies with a few exception. I'm usually with the run and gun crowd. We host, participate and compete in IDPA, shotgun and 3-gun matches along the Mid-Atlantic and I rarely see anyone from the LF forum at any of these events. You'll easily find me on GlockTalk, SIGForum, 1911Forum, The High Road, Brian Enos, etc.

ah more on the retailers' side i see. i don't know about singapore's potential man. in my own opinion, i think that it's quite low cause the firearms industry here is practically close to nil. i mean we do have 3-gun(have right guys?) and all that, but strict gun laws prohibit anyone from owning a gun. hell, even paintball is restricted and there's only 1(as far as i know) field here.
anyway i'm curious about the trainers and consultants part.. where will it be conducted? would students have to fly to the us for classes? cheers -

palmerised, we're basically targeting LE and military in the region. I only sell civilian stuff stateside, elsewhere it's predominantly LE or military. The Malaysian PASKAL units are running our new tactical carbine cases. That's the sort of clients I hope to go for.
That said, I was kinda surprised to see a bunch of my JC friends shooting IPSC at the Singapore Shooting Center last year.anyway i'm curious about the trainers and consultants part.. where will it be conducted? would students have to fly to the us for classes? cheers
We do conduct civilian courses stateside but I doubt it will be suitable for Singapore. Unless there's interest among Singaporeans to get a feel for the high speed stuff (at the Shooting Center) or somewhere close, the US trainers and consultants are primarily for LE and military. We hope to have the office in Singapore but will target the region with Singapore's permission.
The company currently owns a shooting team for the IDPA (www.idpa.com) circuit here in the US and we are one of the major sponsors for most of the events. Last weekend was the Smith & Wesson Winter Championships and every single shooter that competed got one of my bags; that's how involved we are over here. And yes, S&W is also a good client of ours. The second shooter on the Team won 1st CDP Master; 10 seconds behind the World Champion, Ernest Langdon. These guys are freaking mad; shooting upwards of 40K rounds a year.
Me? I didn't F- up and that was the most important goal for the match I think Singaporeans would be a natural for this sport , unfortunately....... -
