My brigade commander's PA used to be stationed at 22 SA back in the mid 1980s. She ever mentioned the location but I've kind of forgotten. Where was it located and when was it stood down? I understand 2 Gds was also stood down and renamed 581 Gds, if I'm not wrong.
Taman Jurong Camp, if I recall. Or at least somewhere on the west side of S'pore. I went there once (slept in the back of the Land Rover) & the facilities were very old; someone else told me the camp was around for the first few batches of NSFs in the late '60s.
2 Guards disbanded sometime during the last decade, as part of the SAF combat-arms restructuring.
