  I believe when countries are engulve in civil war for years and no solution are in sight, god will step in to do the neccesary. Sri lanka army have been fighting the Tamil Tigers for years, same goes to the rebels in Aceh. God have manifested himself in the form of a Tsunami, creating havoc and devastation. Land have been destroyed and lives are lost, what's left to fight for.Leaders will have to call for ceasefire and work hand in hand with the rebels to built their land again. But when God punishes, he strike with such terrifying force that even people in other countries are not spared. 128,000+ lives for peace and freedom might be a price too big to pay, don't you think so, GOD?

  everytime someone tries to use God to explain the reasons for the Tsuniami, the word BIGOT flashes in my mind.

  no its not. the nuclear bomb theory is plausable but unlikely. but to say God want to punish this or that peoples, just smacks of bigotry.

  Nonsense. I'm chirstian and I don't think this is God's punishment. If God wants to punish, what about the Serbs? Oh why didn't he punish the vietnamese by making them lose the Vietnam War? Afterall, they were a Godless people, they were marxists.....anti-God people. It made perfect sense for God to kill them. Yet God did nothing to stop the communists from winning. True christians won't say this kind of suffering is from God. Are you from cult? Like JW or Mormon?

  no buddhist would make such callous statements. Also, if u're buddhist, how come u attribute it to an act of God then? in buddhism, there are no gods, only buddhas.

  If you think God is the culprit, it is your civic duty to report your suspicions to the police. Personally, i think god (if it is the culprit) has gone too far this time and i hope the government decides to prosecute.
  
  Also, you may want to consider suing god for assault, battery, trespass, harassmemt and maybe negligence. You may even have a case in discrimination. Damages may be available to you so it may be worth a try.
