No, you're logically wrong in your argument.Originally posted by Moxie:Gerdakan, you mean I'm factually wrong with my comment?
What's with this infatuation with pretending you're the presiding judge, approving of the verdict and pronouncing "guilty as charged" from your little soapbox?Originally posted by Moxie:What's with this infatuation with personal attacks at me, as if you're still in some sort of denial over the guilty verdicts?

No, I haven't forgotten him. Unfortunately, he went to ground after the story broke, and I haven't been able to contact him and get his side of the story.Originally posted by greengoblin:Seems that we have forgotten Warrant Officer S Balakrishnan as well. I knew him when he was a MSG or SSG {really cannot remember...damn long liaoz :p} during POW training and he struck me as a reasonable and nice person who gave tough training but yet humanistic. Each night he will ensure the trainee's good health and would not unnecessary put the trainee's health at risk. It is a pity for him.
he won my respect when i was attending a course conducted by him... he is tough. no doubt abt tt. anyone who knows him will know. but he also has a human side as well...Originally posted by greengoblin:Seems that we have forgotten Warrant Officer S Balakrishnan as well. This is The NewPaper report on CPT Pandiaraj. Go to the below website.Originally posted by t89z:There was a recent report in The NewPaper about CPT Pandiaraj.
The report mentioned about his peacekeeping operations in East Timor. CPT Pandiaraj promised his men that he would bring all of them back to Singapore alive and he did.
One of his former trainees also praised CPT Pandiaraj in the report.
The news also reported that CPT Pandiaraj also told a medical officer he would rather be paralysed than downgrade.

Well, can't expect much when the man at the top rode a paper magic carpet all the way there, eh? Funny thing is that SJI taught their boys to be stand up guys - this chump's an embarrassment.Originally posted by Xprobe:Hahahahaaha...I laugh at your naive thoughts...well thats the way the system train us to think...do you know how much it cost to train an officer vs. an NCO...lest to say an "old-timer" + "unconnected/ fraternized" + CDO vocation?
It is all economics...look around you...examine how decisions and policies are made in this land...wake up
I respect the CDO because they get the short end of the stick but have to risk higher incidence of injury and even death in what they do.
And if you spend too much time in CDO/ SOF, your chances to "reintegrate" into the mainstream army is very very limited. Dispensible? By all means!
Which is why you never hear of SWOs converting to MAJs grade 2.Experience ,seeing the action and being able to survive the action should take precedance over supposed potential, no matter how lovely the shrink-wrap.Originally posted by HENG@:yes it is. and there you have it. If so, i don't your remark abt him being a standup guy.... and we bringing SJI into the argument too? heh!
he joined OCS intake 28/97 OCC Echo Platoon 4 in service term and soon earned a reputation for himself, not as a RANGER cadet but as someone who knows his stuff and as someone who lived by e ranger creed and e officer creed. he was a leader for all and its only natural he won Sword of Honour.Originally posted by t89z:CPT Pandiaraj was the officer convicted recently for the death of 2SG Hu EnHuai.
I heard he is a legend in the Commando Unit. Anybody knows his story?
